Kelly and Jeff are excellent; their communication was smooth, clear, and prompt. They are respectful, reliable, and mindful when we are out of the city. They took the best care of Solo and Mei Mei; we can see how relaxed and happy our cats are from daily updated pictures and videos. Maybe they took care of Solo and Mei Mei so well that our cats can’t recognize us when we arrive home 😅🤣 pretty sure our cats miss Kelly and Jeff already. They left our house very tidy, even more clean than we did ( it’s lots of work!! We really appreciate it) and took perfect care of our plants. We are so lucky to have them; highly recommend Kelly and Jeff If you can have them sit for you.
Caroline & Richard were very welcoming and have a gorgeous selection of relaxed and well behaved dogs, horses, chickens & sheep. They carefully talked us through all we needed to know and there was plenty of support and local back up too if needed. They have an absolutely glorious but comfortable and unpretentious home on the edge of a small village near Cirencester. It was a fabulous place to stay and v well positioned for walks from the doorstep plus exploring the local area. We would highly recommend this as a very lovely sit, it was Caroline & Richard’s first time using Trusted Housesitters so I very much hope they were happy and that it won’t be their last! Thank you both, please give the dogs big hugs from us and hopefully we will see you again soon. All the best, Caroline & Dominic
An absolutely wonderful housesit! We have had over 50 house/pet sits and deem this one our favorite! Christine and Keith live in an updated 700 year old cottage on an estate with a few other cottages and a “castle”. The cottages are surrounded by beautiful fields of barley and grassy meadows. There are paths for extraordinary dog walks, friendly neighbors, and a beautifully decorated cottage. Christine and Keith have created front and back flower gardens that are a joy to see and take care of (if you wish). There is a resident peahen that delights in squawking out her mating calls and strutting around the property. What a wonderful experience that was for us! We were also delighted with the numerous birds that chirp throughout the day. The pets, Izzy, a Sheltie X, and Jessie, a White Husky, were lots of fun to walk around the meadows and property. They are easy to handle on the lease and have been well-trained. Even though Izzy is much smaller than Jessie, she let us know that she is the “alpha” dog. Jessie is very laid-back and yet full of energy at the same time. You will want to hug and cuddle both dogs and they will let you! They are very easy to love. The combination of this nature lover’s paradise and the 2 enjoyable pups are what make this housesit so extraordinary. We are from the USA and may not get the chance to return to Wiverton Hall Cottage, but we’re privileged to have stayed there for 2 weeks. Believe us, if there is any way to return, we will! Our advice to anyone reading Chris and Keith’s appeal for a sitter is to apply at once. You will be so lucky to be selected and you will enjoy every minute of it! Thank you, Chris and Keith, for selecting us!
I recommend housesitting for JoJo, she is a lovely welcoming person & her three cat friends are so sweet & unique. Jedi & Spider were cuddly-wuddlies kindly keeping me company on the rainy days. Spider has had an amazing life, thank you JoJo for sharing his story. Gecko was a little wary but did sometimes allow petting. JoJo sent a welcome guide & the hand over was straightforward, I felt thoroughly prepared. JoJo also gave excellent tips about the local area. It was amazing seeing the autumn foliage in Luxembourg woodlands & hearing a little about life there.
We had a great stay in Toronto! Sarah and Charlie’s home is in a perfect location right off the Danforth. There are many great shops, bars, and restaurants just a few minutes walk from the house, as well as a train station that can take you to Dundas Square in 20 minutes. Sarah and Charlie’s home is quite spacious and modern, and they even have a small backyard you can bring the pets out into. Sarah made us feel right at home upon arrival. We stayed on the bottom floor on a pull-out wall bed which was incredibly comfortable. There is a full bathroom, living room, and TV all downstairs. Archie is an amazing cat! He’s incredibly cuddly, loving, affectionate, and curious. He loves to jump up on high places, which can be quite astounding to witness! Griffin is very sweet and fairly well behaved, but he can be a bit aggressive with food and jealous/threatening towards Archie, which frightened us a few times. Sarah and Charlie were great at responding, and helped us feel better about the situation. Sarah also provided a whole packet of information that did mention some of Griffin’s behavioral issues. He’s good on a leash, except if he sees a skateboarder, and just be careful not to let him eat off the ground. Archie and Griffin were fairly easy to care for, Sarah and Charlie are very kind and responsive hosts, and we had a great time!
Missing everyone already! I got tons of great videos and pictures interacting with the dogs. Draxler was by my son’s side the entire time - so gentle and caring! And Beck became my new best buddy ♥️ missing the cuddles. And it was such a blessing to spend time with you before I left town. Hopefully we all meet again!
Noelle was my first formal TrustedHousesitters stay (after many off-site experiences) and she set the bar at 11 out of 10! Her home is gorgeously decorated, very cozy, and has all the modern amenities you might need, including a Nest thermostat, beautiful plants, Nespresso machine and fully-loaded smart TV! It honestly feels like a luxury AirBnB. The downstairs has a full bedroom/bath/office/living room set-up that feels like your own personal oasis. She is also very communicative and reachable as a host, giving you the full rundown of the apartment and contingency plans if anything goes awry. I was only petsitting Glenn + the plants but my brief interactions with Homer upon arrival/departure were nothing but friendly and loving! He seems like a very jovial, goofy companion. :) Taking care of Glenn is very low maintenance as Noelle has set up the feeding/litter system to be seamless. Glenn was one of *the* friendliest cats I've met and was always hopping on my lap during an episode of White Lotus or eager to snuggle in bed. He even let me rub his belly on a regular basis!! The location in SugarHouse is excellent. It's very residential (easy parking) and safe! There are lots of restaurants nearby, but for the winter especially it is a very short hop to I-80 to get over to Park City or the Canyons for skiing. You would be extremely lucky to be selected for this sit, I almost don't want to recommend it so highly so that I can be selected again if there is availability!! ;)
