Allan and his lovely wife Renate were excellent home and pet sitters. They sent us updates while we were away with photos and the house was immaculate on our return. They kept in touch in the months prior to the sit and we felt very comfortable with both of them in our home. There are not enough words or room to adequately describe our experience with Monika! She is an amazing pet and house sitter and a remarkable human being! Monika took care of our big goody dog, Emile, and our chill cat, Pico, for three weeks while we were in Australia and the experience could not have been any better. Monika sent us daily videos and photos (some of the best pet pictures we’ve ever seen) as well as updates on daily life and their wonderful adventures together. She took Emile on long, stimulating walks and spent time refining his on and off-leash behaviours. She took him on car rides to visits family and friends and even took him to Stratford to take in the Christmas light! As an added bonus, Monika invested time in training Emile on better manners around meals and snacks. What a treat to come home to! As for Pico, she clearly won over our usually aloof kitty and confidently administered his daily meds, managed his quirks and idiosyncrasies and gave and lots of love. Emile and Pico are used to us being around and we were looking for someone who was able to work from home and be a warm and consistent presence and Monika more than delivered! As a completely unexpected bonus, we came back to thriving and healthier-than-before plants and so many beautiful touches including home-made ginger bread cookies and hand-made natural cleaners and beauty products that Monika knew I’d love. Our home was spotless and smelt divine, which was incredibly welcome after over 24 hours of travel. There are so many more ways Monika made this a remarkable experience than I can list here. Suffice it to say that she exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable and we would consider ourselves extremely lucky if she would come and sit for us again! Not only did we find an outstanding pet sitter though Zeewoi, we found a new friend…
