Thank you to Amanda and Luis for choosing us for this sit....our trip to Thailand has been memorable, in large part to your kindness and generosity. Amanda and Luis made the whole process very easy. They communicated with us well before the sit began and were easily accessible while they were away. Nothing was too much for them...they offered us their home in advance of the sit, and ensured we felt welcome to stay until our departure was finalized. The sit was exactly as described in the listing ( expectations re the house, the dog etc)....no surprises. Lola, the dog, was a pleasure to care for and love. ...easy going, we could take her everywhere. 5 plus stars for Amanda, Luis and Lola. We started as strangers, left as friends... They’re the best ! Jan and Les
Louise and Percy welcomed us to their home the night before and we had a lovely dinner together. Ganja and Dido were delightful. Very engaging and great company. We did not go out a lot as we felt very relaxed and just enjoyed walking around the farm with the dogs, playing tennis and looking after the garden. If you get the opportunity to look after Ganja and Dido at Louise and Percy's home, we recommend it.
We had a lovely, peaceful time in Le Dorat looking after Nala and Harry - they both have lots of love to give and were always happy to see us. Easy walks available leaving from the house. They are strong dogs but we were happy walking them solo and together. They're good off lead, very playful and have good recall, so would recommend taking paths where you can give them a good run. We spent sunny evenings sitting in the back garden with the dogs having dinner, perfect! Nicole and Evan let us make ourselves at home and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a car so were able to explore the region a little during our stay too, Le Dorat is a sleepy town with a few welcoming bars and patisseries to enjoy.
Christine and Bobs home was very comfortable, everything was easy to access, as long as Bruno wasn't laying in front of the cupboard you needed, he is a big dog with one speed, Amble, he would always move for you just very slowly, a tummy rub would get his attention, and speed up move. All the cats and dogs had their own distinct personality s, and Cassy, Tia, Chalky gave good cuddles, so did Sandy the dog, joining me everyday on my walks, with my own dog, even if she had been out alnight. Bruno would show willing for 50 to 100 yards, then lay down to await your return. The house has the most amazing views over the valley, and far enough from the village that you could hardly hear the village dogs at night. I really enjoyed our sit, and would happily return. Especially for the cool mountain breeze, and peaceful house.
I ADORED my time with Mylo in Barbara's lovely home! Mylo is an incredibly charming and sweet fellow, a hilarious old goober and an incomparable companion. I really miss him! The home and location are beyond charming...I would love to move to this neighborhood! Calm and quiet with the charm of old houses and trees, an adorable co-op, local coffee shop and delicious restaurants and food carts a block away, not to mention all of the other awesome shops and restaurants along 23rd and in this area that are a short walk away. And the beautiful Lower Macleay park right there...I barely had to drive the whole time I was here! Barb was so kind and accommodating and went out of her way to make me feel welcome in the house, which has wonderful high ceilings and a super bright and cozy vibe. 12/10 sit, cannot recommend enough! 😊😊
Had an amazing time looking after the sweet, sweet girls Lucy & Rosie! Ian and Christine were very welcoming and very clear about what was expected. They have a beautiful home looking out on the Brisbane River with superb walking areas for the doggies. I was introduced to their friends (the other dog walkers) and we walked together every morning and evening! (made some friends there) Such a fantastic time to look forward to!! Rosie and Lucy were absolutely the most beautiful girls, very well behaved and such friendly natures. It was truly a pleasure looking after your beautiful house and amazing dogs - thank you Ian & Christine xo :)
