Amazing sit with Rocky and Ralph! Lloyd was very communicative and the dogs were well behaved and easy to care for (and easy to love)! Ralph is calm and easy going because he is older, but Rocky gives you lots of puppy energy, which we loved as pet sitters. The house is amazing, and we spent many lovely afternoons in the back yard. Very accessible and easy to walk around, and Novato is an adorable town. 10/10!
We got the opportunity to house sit for Rebecca and Peter and had an absolute wonderful experience. They are two incredibly kind people who were constantly making sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed before, during and well after the sit. Emrys and Carwyn were just little balls of love and we enjoyed every minute we got to spend with them. They are an absolute blast to be around and made the sit lovely. The house and surrounding area are also gorgeous and there were beautiful and fun walks straight from the front door. I can't recommend the sit enough and we would love to get a chance to sit for them again! (Thanks again Rebecca and Peter!)
We had a wonderful stay at Kevin's. Kevin is super kind and welcoming, and his home is very comfortable and clean. His place is located in a great location, and a short drive to loads of gorgeous beaches and great walking trails. However, the real star of the show is Rolo. We had read the reviews before about Rolo and wondered if he would live up to the hype - he did. Rolo is the sweetest dog and up for anything. We took him with us everywhere and had a fantastic time. He is extremely well behaved and loves a good cuddle. Definitely recommend!
What a beautiful place in this world to spend a month! We're going to miss it for sure. Jenny and Dale are lovely, warm and generous people who made us feel at home right away. Very easy to follow and low maintenance instructions. The home is absolutely gorgeous. The bed is divine, best sleep ever. The bathtub and kitchen are dreamy. Watching the weather roll in on the lovely covered porch won't soon be forgotten by us! There is a yoga / workout studio and a few yummy dog friendly restaurants within 20-30 min walking distance. Also a really well stocked little shop across the street. For bigger shops head to the markets on Wednesday / Thursday or the town about 30 min drive away. Everyone you meet is really friendly and you can tell Jenny and Dale have a great group of friends and support for the home should any trouble arise. English speaking hippy vibe around town... We did walks every day, either on their gorgeous property with Smokey off leash (oh what views!) or daily to the nearby river for a cold plunge, or waterfall hike. Smokey is a husky and german shepard mix so has a large prey drive and is protective of his people and property. Would recommend he is leashed / harnessed out in public (except maybe at the river) as he has bitten other dogs/cats before and can be a bit unpredictable since you aren't his owner who knows him well. This sit would be ideal for people confident handling this type of large breed if possible. All that being said, he's a well trained sweet easy going boy otherwise. We had tons of play and snuggle time with him and he is super smart with his tricks. He's absolutely wonderful with people and was great in the car or laying under the table at a restaurant while we ate. He has free reign of their 7 acres that is mostly fenced (and hopefully the few holes are being fixed) so there's lots of area to explore off leash with him on his own land. He stays nice and close to you. Hope you are lucky enough to get to experience this piece of heaven! Thank you Jenny for having us and entrusting Smokey's care to us.
What a way to start the New Year!! We had a WONDERFUL sit in Kathy and Wallace's beautiful lakefront home with two of the sweetest, most adorable, and affectionate pups you'll ever meet. Bodie and Nelly are just so sweet. Being with them was a joy. As soon as we walked in the door, the fun began. They love to walk, play, and especially cuddle. Easily the most lovable dogs we've ever met. They have the perfect combination of playfulness and good behavior. Very rare, and a tribute to their great parents. The home is so very comfortable, the neighbors are very nice, and the stars at night were breathtaking. The set up in the family room is amazing. Huge hi-def TV with a studio quality sound system. Put on a movie and cuddle with the dogs for a perfect evening. We had a great housesit in 35-50 degree weather. With warmer temperatures it would be EVEN BETTER. This is a sit we will always remember. THANK YOU KATHY AND WALLACE!
