This house sit definitely ranks among the best experiences we have had!! Eric and Holly were extremely warm and welcoming, and even when the California fires created a kink in their plans, they were so gracious and flexible in making things work for everyone, and it was such a pleasure meeting and getting to know them! Eric and Holly have created a beautiful, peaceful and very special retreat for themselves and their clearly adored pets. Their home is very comfortable and they made us feel right at home and very welcome. One of our favorite spots in the morning, coffee in hand, was on the front porch, overlooking the corral that houses Bella the horse, goats and chickens. The home also has a back patio, where we relaxed, BBQ'd and just took in the beauty and tranquility of the property. They have a very well stocked kitchen and a very warm and cozy living room to read or watch TV in the evenings. We stayed in a very comfortable guest room with our own bath. The ranch property is located in a rural neighborhood that puts you in downtown Arroyo Grande in 5 mins and Pismo Beach in about 10 min. Many stores, shops and restaurants in the area as well. We enjoyed Morro Bay and Lake Lopez, both about 30 mins away. A great location for exploring the area, close to so much. And of course, the animals!!! They have the absolute sweetest dogs, Chi and Lila. They are both so lovable and well-behaved and we enjoyed them tremendously. Bliss, the cat is a sweetheart as well, but like most felines, takes a bit to warm up. However, by the end of the stay, I was able to pet and brush her while sitting next to her on the floor. Bella the horse was great fun, and her care was easy. She is a beauty and roamed the property, grazing during the day. Such a wonderful sight to enjoy!! We were provided very clear and precise instructions for all the animal's care which made all go very smooth. To sum it up, we feel very fortunate to have had this experience, to meet such warm, gracious people and to provide care for awesome animals that brought us much joy. I would not hesitate to recommend a sit at this property, as it is a very special one. Thank you Eric and Holly for trusting us and providing such a wonderful experience!!
Jenny and Kevin shared their lovely home in the Phoenix suburbs along with their affectionate cats, Rojo and Timido, with me this winter. And it was so cool to see how quickly their pandemic kitties warmed up to me. They made it so easy to spend time with them! They’ve also got an excellent setup for taking care of the boys’ needs. A couple feedings and tending to the litter box is all they require because they keep their place in such top shape. I also appreciate that Jenny and Kevin enjoyed the updates about their very chill duo because there were lots of fun moments to capture and share. These two are super entertaining—when they’re not laid out soaking up the Arizona sun, of course 😂 One more highlight - I woke up to an amazing view of the community golf course and fell asleep to the night sky over the course lakes. Twilight seems to never fade at their place so I never pulled down the blinds like they suggested when they showed me around because it’s so stunning to see. And while it can cool down quickly in the evenings, Rojo and Timido were the perfect companions—tucking themselves into my side, helping me stay warm. I can’t wait to see them again in a few weeks! You’ll definitely want to jump on the chance to sit for them if there’s availability!!
A great sit in a beautiful house. Marianne explained everything extremely well, and was very relaxed. The house was clean and tidy and in a stunning location. Once walked, Dixie will settle down nicely in the house and is great company. Thanks again.
Sadly Covid -19 meant that we were unable to come to do the sit, but we hope to be able to come another time
Jason and Selena were wonderful hosts and their dog Kiki was adorable, chill, and loved to go on walks. We marathoned around the city, going for hour or two-hour walks daily. Their house is sandwiched right between Golden Gate Park and Land's End Park so there was plenty to explore by walking. Highly recommended and I'm looking forward to sitting Kiki again in the future!
