How can we review Annemarie’s sit with only 5 stars? She deserves 10+ in all categories, especially organization. Annemarie is a kind, interesting, fun and trustworthy woman, and we liked her instantly. She took wonderful care of our 5 animals. Even our most shy cat took to her instantly (which is amazing). Obviously she has a real affinity for animals, and treats them with kindness and respect. I will tell a funny story on her, though. We didn’t tell her that sometimes our parrot Max talks in a very human voice, and while she was watching television she kept hearing a voice calling out “come here”. She turned off the TV, thinking the voice was coming from there, but she still kept hearing “Come here!” plain as day. Finally she figured out that it was coming from Max! I guess we need to update our Welcome Guide to include this possibility. She kept in good contact with us daily, sending texts and photos, and was not hesitant to ask questions. As to tidiness, the house was immaculate when we returned. She had even cleaned the refrigerator! The house was definitely in a better state than when she arrived, and we had spent the whole day before her arrival doing a thorough cleaning. She told me that cleaning felt relaxing to her. Her thoughtfulness knows no bounds. She texted to see if there was anything from the grocery store that she could get for us to have upon our return. She even cooked a special treat for Max the parrot. As a final thoughtful gesture, Annemarie left us a sweet little gift, which we didn’t find until we went into the bedroom where she had stayed.
Barbara and Mitch have such a beautiful home and property, literally a wildlife habitat. They are gracious hosts that made us so very welcome. Barb took great lengths to make sure the welcome guide was very detailed with all the information we needed, and a tour before they left. We were in communication with them before their trip and also during, which made it easy for all. Lilly and Max will warm your heart, and Mocha will warm your lap, if she so chooses to. Eugene is one of our favorite places, with great restaurants, micro brews, farmers market, hiking trails, live music venues, and down to earth people. Highly recommend this sit!
April and Family were great! The pets were just fine. We enjoyed the 6 ft deep pool and hot tub. Very nice. The area is, of course, very great. Sunny South Florida! Communication was prompt when needed. Highly recommended.
It was a pleasure to look after Philip's three well-behaved and friendly chocolate labs and cat for a fortnight. Kloof village, with two supermarkets, several restaurants and take-aways, and a multitude of shops, is five minutes' walk from his comfortable home, which has the added benefit of being off the grid - so no electricity black-outs during load shedding! Sibongile was in three times a week to keep the house clean and tidy, and, as an added bonus, kindly ironed my clothes. I have no hesitation in recommending this sit.
Jack is an absolute joy! We came with our two kids (4 and 6) and he was wonderful with them and seemed to really enjoy their company. He loves walks, snuggles, and just hanging out. Mary was wonderful- she welcomed us warmly and we felt so comfortable in her home, which is in a great location and very cozy. She was easy to communicate with and stayed in touch during the sit. We are hoping to be able to sit for Jack and Mary again soon!
