Thank you TrustedHousesitters for bringing Rob, Frances, Buster & Ruby into our lives!

Dave and I feel as though our lives have been enriched by our experience petsitting in Bandon.

Rob was an excellent communicator. We had several chats and video calls prior to the sit and him and Frances did everything they could to prepare us for our petsitting journey in their home.

We learned their dog-walking and feeding routine in-person a day prior to their departure and Rob & Frances were very encouraging which empowered us and filled us with confidence before the sit began.

Buster is an older dog who is well cared for by his owners - and it shows! We immediately fell in love with him! Ruby is an adorable younger, energetic dog who has a fantastic walking routine that ensured she got her (and our) steps in every day!

This petsit is in a warm & welcoming community. We got to know the neighbours and made some friends for life. We’ve never experienced this on a petsit before and it made our petsit even more rewarding.

The lake and surrounding areas are perfect for those with an adventurous spirit with many hikes, water sports and much more right on your doorstep.

Words cannot express our gratitude to Frances and Rob. It felt like a cultural exchange as well as a dog-sitting adventure. We hope to return again some day - it would be an honour to sit for them again.

You guys rock!!! :)

I had a terrible experience at this site. The house owners were at home, they used to complain about everything, including leaving the hallway/stairs light on at night so I could move around a house I’ve never been to without the fear of falling. I said I worked remotely and all the three calls I attempted to do with my team were interrupted by them, it is a very isolated location.

The bus that goes to town does not come back before the time you need to be there. They say it is one hour or 90 minute work with the poultry, it it requires at least 4 hours. They would be a better suit for other platforms such as wooff, that is more like farm work, and not house and pet sitting.
It was really a terrible experience, I couldn’t study, or work, or enjoy anywhere because there is nothing around.

Abby was a wonderful host, taking care of all of the instructions very clearly and even made short videos to help me get oriented.

I simply fell in love with Walnut, their beautiful Siberian kitten. After adjusting to her preferred playtime schedule, we had a great time together. She really is the sweetest, fluffiest kitten I've ever met and I loved it when she came for cuddles.

The apartment was very cozy and comfortable, and the location was great for lots of cafes, restaurants and shops steps away, and hiking also nearby.

Though Walnut was happy and healthy when I left, I heard that she was having health issues the day Abby returned. I was concerned about Walnut, and Abby was very gracious about what could have been a concerning situation. I highly recommend this sit for anyone who loves a playful kitten.

Thank you Abby!

Rachel’s house was lovely and homely. The cats were friendly and Rachel was very helpful explaining everything we needed to know to fully enjoy our experience. Would recommend if you love cats and walks in the nearby woods.

Dodge, Jersey and I got along great. Dodge makes friends right away while Jersey takes her time to get to know you. The house is spacious and the bed was just the right size for all 3 of us. It is also located within walking distance to a gorgeous provincial park where the dogs and I walked every morning. Alyssa, Toby and I had good communication throughout the sit. The only thing I would change is to make the sit last longer. Hopefully the kids and I will meet again someday.
