Cat Sitters in San Mateo, CA

August was awesome. Excellent communication, great updates, adorable pics, and wonderful, thoughtful care of our kitties. We feel so lucky to have found August.

Andrea was wonderful with our dogs. Her experience and love for animals showed from her first interactions with our dogs who can be anxious when meeting new people. She loves to hike and took our dogs on long hikes daily sending us photos of their adventures. If you have active dogs Andrea is the sitter for you, she is an avid hiker. She also gave them lots of love and snuggles at home. We returned to a clean home with happy dogs who obviously enjoyed Andrea’s company, exercise and love. We would be thrilled to have her stay again in the future.

She was a lovely petsitter and guest. This was only the second time having a zeewoi in our home so we too are learning the ropes but Mikel was great with communication and updated me daily in the boys, kept the house tidy and I loved that she was welcomed into the community and explored our neck of the woods. She spent the night the night before we left and the night we returned because we had early departure and late arrival and she was a pleasure to be around. We will definitely be inviting her again. 

While our cats seemed happy and healthy upon our return, we were disappointed with some aspects of the care provided to our dog, Lila. Cleanliness - We found dog poop on the deck and dried urine in Lila's bed. This suggests she may not have been let outside as frequently as instructed or left alone for extended periods. The house was left in ok condition - maybe left a bit in the rush and not quite up to how we left it when departing. Communication - We discussed specific instructions for Lila's care (she's not an easy pup), including walks and potty breaks. It would have been helpful if the house sitter had reached out if they had any questions or needed clarification. There was maybe some slight misrepresentation of how active they claimed to be, I.e. not taking our dog on longer hikes. Overall, while the cats fared well, the lack of attention to our dogs needs was a concern. For future sits, clear communication and following instructions are essential for our pet's well-being.

Yesenia was terrific! Although our little dog may have annoyed Yesenia's dog (really wanted to play!), it was great to have another dog in our house. Yesenia communicated well before and during the stay, sent lots of videos, was friendly and great to meet. I definitely recommend her! Thank you, Yesenia.

Avery and Francisco were great pet and house sitters. I think Ohno is in love with Francisco - he even lets him carry him like a baby! I can't even carry him - period! Communicate was great. I loved that they created a WhatsApp group for us to communicate. They were very accommodating when Ohno was being exceptionally finicky and we had to try new things to get him to eat more. I came home to a very clean house and a very content kitty as well as a delicious home cooked meal! I highly recommend Avery and Francisco to care for your home and your fur kids.

Eileen was superb. She has tremendous experience with everything related to house and pet care. She was able to change the end date during the stay which was so much appreciated. We really hope to work with her again on a future stay.

Kyle and Elise gave my boys the best care out of anyone that has watched them in the past 12 years. Their medical knowledge and compassion for animals (especially senior pups) made me feel at ease with leaving my boys. One of my pups was having some medical issues while we’re gone and they were able to care for him and make me feel so much better about it. I wish they lived closer because I’d have them back anytime. Thank you again for everything!

Hanna was great to communicate with and easy going. She took great care of the cats and my house. Looking forward to having her staying in our house again!

Sonya and Darroll are reliable and organized. Paper seems happy with them. And they left my home with a very tidy condition. Highly recommend!

Lily and Liam are phenomenal house sitters and wonderful people. They took incredible care of our dog, Koby, and sent daily pictures and videos of him living his best life. I had no worries whatsoever about Koby during our vacation, I just knew he was in the best hands. We came home to a sparkling clean house and the happiest dog ever. We would have them back any time and highly recommend them!

Ruth is kind, thoughtful, reliable and respectful. Oliver and Zoey were very comfortable with her presence in our home. She responded promptly to my text and sent photos. Communication is great. I would fully recommend Ruth for your pet sitting needs. I hope Ruth will come back and stay with my fluffy ones soon.
