Danielle and Mel were wonderful and trustworthy sitters for our beloved kitty Chester - and our home and property. They made extra efforts to coordinate with us, which was challenging in that we were travelling ourselves, and not available to meet in person. Danielle is an extraordinary coordinator, and it gave us great reassurance to know she and Mel were at our home. They even sent kitty pics to our 20 year old son :-). Our kitty Chester was fit and happy when we returned home, and the house was tidy and clean. We would invite Dani and Mel back to house and pet sit for us any time.
To begin, Tricia is that person anyone would be happy to find as a next door neighbor. She is easy going, considerate, and accommodating beyond belief. First, the kitties. She cuddled, brushed and took care of them they way we do. She continually communicated that she wanted to care for them exactly as I do, even though I welcomed her own instincts. She sent pictures and texts that were heartwarming. My furries were happy, brushed well and calm when we returned. I have no doubt they will think of Tricia often, as will I. The home was beautifully cared for and even looked better than when we left. Plants were watered and everything was pristine. Tricia is highly sought after as a sitter so consider yourself blessed if you manage to have her take care of your babies and home.
Hannah and Joseph did a great job taking care of our little Zoey. They were easy to communicate with throughout their stay.
Such talented and interesting people, a totally wonderful dog, in a beautiful part of Ballard, a nice neighborhood and lovely patio garden to enjoy with a people watching view. Walkable to some of the very best beaches Seattle has to offer. So many great aspects to recommend this exchange. Dan was 💯 percent on top of messaging when I had questions about his dog's needs. There was a failed lock that had to be replaced by an emergency locksmith one hot night while I was exhausted, starving, and locked out by the digital door. Dan called everyone necessary and got a professional locksmith on the scene within an hour. He voluntarily reimbursed me for the dinner I had to grab next door at the cafe, too. It's always nice when hosts realize the added expenses and act to relieve sometimes intangible discomforts. Bodhi is a really sharp guy with so much intelligence. He's got the biggest Australian Sheppard smile. Dan loves Bodhi so much that his perspective about Bodhis behavior is basically a "boys will be boys" attitudes. Or, "he is typical for his breed", in this case. I spent the days with Bodhi doing a lot of slack leash training and managing his habit of jumping on people. It was concerning enough to prevent me from returning as a dog sitter. I would love to rate them higher. After our in person home tour, I asked them to put more into focus to training Bodhi not to jump on people and organizing the home for me as a guest. They did some, including putting away a large collection of chemical cleaning products- which was very helpful. Confusingly, they told me in their last note before they departed, "Our home is not a vacation rental." I think they must not have read the host terms and conditions, nor the guidelines? A lot of people who have little experience with this Trusted Housesitters platform get confused about what the services they are expected to offer are. I'm certain Dan and Nancy can offer a 5 star hosting experience for their next guest volunteer dog sitter... if they decide they want to.

Hope is the best at what she does! Her house is the ULTIMATE DOG HOTEL. Our dog Toaster was completely at home and content staying with Hope. With the daily walks and being able to sleep on a couch or real bed was a huge bonus not to mention the huge abundance of toys for him to play with. Leaving my Oscar with Hope at Sandy Paws means I don't have to worry at all. He gets excited when we pull into the driveway, and then runs into her yard, and doesn't even notice that I've left. He knows he will be loved and taken on long walks on the beach. He enjoys spending time with JB, and sometimes another dog too. If I am on vacation, he is too.
Hope is the dog whisperer. She takes amazing care of our two labradoodles. She takes them on long walks or to play on the beach every day. She always knows when one of them may not feel well and consults the vet if necessary. She always seems to know exactly what to do. The dogs run into her home whenever we arrive and are very much at home there. I trust her completely with my pups.
My husband and I went on a 17 day vacation and we had a 8 month old puppy. We happened upon Sandy Paws and we couldn’t be happier. Hope took care of our girl like she was her own. I highly recommend Sandy Paws.

Gina is great! She sends text/picture updates and gets to know your pet first so you know they're loved while you're away! Thanks to her, our guinea pigs got to stay home safe and comfortable instead of having to board at the vet. Would recommend!
Gina is a pro! The hardest part of going away, even for a couple of nights, is leaving our fur babies. Millie (our dog) loves Gina. She is extremely knowledgable about all animals and is able to care for my large and giant breed dogs without a hitch. Her knowledge, reliability and genuine love towards all animals puts her above all the rest. I highly recommend!!

BUYER BEWARE. CANNOT TRUST. Elyse had committed to watching our dogs over our vacation anniversary weekend and 3 days before we were scheduled to leave, she completely ghosted us and never responded to any calls or texts. Never bothered to tell us she could no longer watch our dogs. She had also confirmed for a meet and greet which she needed to reschedule and never came. Terrible way to run a business and we had a really difficult time finding backfill. I hope your business fails, truthfully, so others don’t have to deal with the same incompetence and lack of integrity. 👎🏼
