Claire's hospitality was second to none- she made us feel so welcome and right at home. Communication was excellent and was there to help us if we had any questions. Brora and Tigger were such a joy to take care of. Brora loves her cuddles and being made a fuss of and we had no problem whatsoever with that! Just such great company and would definitely be happy to look after them again :)
Patrick and Vi are both calm, down-to-earth people with great senses of humor. We met with them prior to our sit, and instantly felt very comfortable with them and their four fur babies. They had filled out the manual very thoroughly and Vi posted a few notes around the house to let us know where things were. Their house is very clean and they are located in a quiet neighborhood, though still very close to a lot of great restaurants and close to downtown Austin. Binky, Teddy and Frankie are easy to care for, and tend to do their own thing. They came around every once in a while for some cuddles, but generally are quiet and independent. Poe was just a little puppy when we pet sat; about 8 weeks old. She had a ton of energy and loved play time. And she's absolutely adorable. :) There were a few accidents in the house and she wasn't too fond of bed time, waking us up a few times each night. However, we totally expected this as she was so little. We sat about 7 months ago, so I would imagine neither of these things are issues anymore. Patrick and Vi were great with communication and quick to respond to any questions or comments we had before and during the sit. They even treated us to a nice dinner once they were back in town, which was such a pleasant surprise. We absolutely recommend sitting for them! Prepare for cuteness overload!
I was so pleased with my pet sit at Paula's. A wonderful clean home with everything you need. Dhillon and Pippen are such characters and easy to care for. I look forward to sitting again. Thanks Paula
I felt blessed to spend time in the home of a very sweet family in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Rainbow is the easiest cat, she just wants affection, cleanliness, and food. If you want to be near downtown for partying or socializing this home probably isn't for you but you can easily get everywhere you need to go by transit and there's food nearby. 100% ideal for a quiet reader/meditator as myself.
Very comfortable sit. Lisa was easy to communicate with and left a thorough list to guide us (garbage pickup, how to use thermostat, etc). The home is conveniently located to all things Poulsbo and a beautiful deck that overlooks the Hood Canal. Bookie was initially shy but eventually warmed up to "strangers" feeding him! He spent most of his days lounging in his favorite chair! 100% would sit here again.
We really enjoyed our few days with Holly, at Alisons' beautiful cottage by the beach. The views, and sunsets are amazing. As we live quite locally, we went to meet them the week before. Alison is such a lovely lady. We were made to feel extremely welcome, and very appreciated. Alison was very generous, leaving us lots of goodies, and wanted to ensure we enjoyed our time at her home. Alison explained that Holly can suffer from some separation anxiety. It was the first time Alison had used houesitters or left Holly. We wanted to make the experience as easy as possible for everyone, and to reassure Alison everything would be fine. We didn't leave Holly alone, we kept her busy, took her on two good walks a day, Holly enjoys a 10k walk and then maybe another one :) Alison left a great welcome guide which covers everything. We kept to Hollys routine, and gave her lots of love, she was an absolute delight, she settles down well at home, and loves being near to you for a cwtch. Holly runs like the wind, loves chasing birds on the beach, and chasing her ball. Her recall is excellent, you can take her anywhere with you, she loves everyone, and everyone loves her. We will look forward to seeing Alison and Holly again, and will knock her door when we're in Port Eynon next :) We'd highly recommend housesitting for Alison and Holly, its very comfortable, its an absolute pleasure.
