It was a huge pleasure to sit for Sue's 6 rabbits. They have a very high standard of housing and care, and are clearly happy rabbits. They all have very individual characters, habits and preferences and I've loved getting to know them all. Sue is a laid back and well-prepared owner, I had all the information I needed and she was available whenever I had a query. Her home is lovely and has all mod cons, it's just a few minutes walk from Scarborough's North bay. I mean it when I say that I 'd be beyond happy to come again!
Elissa and Nick are wonderful! Super accommodating, detailed and easy going. House is wonderful, cozy and the perfect spot to kick it in the mountains! Shadow and Loki are the best! Shadow is so loving and we became best buddies. He love walks and burying his face in the snow, so funny! Loki is super sweet and perfect size. She will be all over you once she warms up to you! Definitely recommend if you get the opportunity!
I had such a great time here. Cashew is a beautiful, loving cat. She warmed up to me after a day and grew more loving/cuddly as the sit went on. Her care is super low maintenance - just water and litter box duties (she’s fed dry food through the automatic feeder), so the main responsibility is just loving on her! The apartment is super spacious with incredible kitchen appliances (lol I always enjoy an Instant Pot). I loved the location - right next to Ft. Washington Park and close enough to many NYC attractions that I always want to go to, but always feel too far to visit when you’re staying in Lower Manhattan/Brooklyn (like NY Botanical Gardens, Bronx Zoo, Arthur Ave, etc.)! Also, the neighborhood gives off friendly vibes. The apartment is on the same block as a 1 train stop, so super easy to get anywhere. Cameron is super sweet/friendly. He provided very detailed instructions, so I had everything I needed. I miss Cashew already and I’d love to stay here again!
We really are so thankful that Maria and Valeriu, with their endless positivity and enthusiasm, came into our lives via this housesit. For us the ideal housesit is really a combination of many things but primarily a welcoming host with great communication who has lots of much loved animals that they share with us for a period of time. This housesit was way way beyond that. We felt truly humbled by Maria and Valerie’s open caring and sharing manner, their genuine focus on ensuring we (and their fury family) had the absolute best time possible - not just at their home- but also during our entire experience in Romania! We loved the long chats we had, the fabulous touring advice and the Romanian cultural and history information they gave us. But it was at this housesit we found a couple who care as deeply about animal welfare as we do. Their animals are absolutely adored and as such it was an enormous privilege to be given the responsibility to care for them. Their home is a large traditional family that has recently been modernized and it is beautifully decorated. It is meticulously clean and wonderfully comfortable; a delight to stay in. To be honest I will miss every single thing about this sit. However we feel we have made life long friends here. Maria and Valeriu you are welcome at our home in New Zealand at any time for as long as you would like - you know how to find us. We would recommend this housesit without reservation to any other housesitter and would if we had the opportunity to, sit for them again at any time they asked. Thank you Maria and Valeriu ❤️
A wonderful sit. Scott and Charlotte were very welcoming and have a comfortable home in a good neighborhood with great neighbors. Such easy access to trails, parks and the greater Bay Area. The best part of the sit was Bo, an amazing, energetic and well-behaved Border Collie. He's great in the car and you can take him anywhere. We would hit the trails and parks every day. You can't throw the ball or frisbee enough for Bo. We had good communication throughout and would happily sit again. What a treat it would be to hang out with Bo again.
