Spending time at Alix's, Richard's, and Colin's is one of the most memorable encounters we've had on THS. Alix and Richard are very Covid conscientious which both Brani and I appreciate and value. Everything was laid out in an organized fashion which made watching Colin a breeze. Their home is even more organized and everything is so immaculately clean! Even down to the teeth brushing, we knew just what to expect. Colin was on his best behavior and aimed to please. We can see that's the habitual cadence as Colin was playing along. They live in a quiet and walk-able area, away from the hustle and bustle. We could hear ourselves think and work from home in peace. Stepping outside and seeing wildlife, turkeys, deer, and owls just to name a few, a safe distance from the house was enchanting and unexpected. We arrived the night before Alix and Richard departed to get situated and acclimated. Alix and Richard were always reachable if we had any questions. We loved the pictures they'd send us of places they visited too. The house is absolutely stunning. You can sense all the positive energy they've put into their lovely home. It seems like Alix thought of everything with her artistic mind. We felt very welcomed and at home there. We'd definitely come back to hang out with Colin again.
Communication from Helen was fantastic and very easily contactable if needed. House was very comfortable, clean and warm. Scooby was an absolute delight to look after and there were clear instructions left on what he likes and doesn't like. Food and everything needed to look after him were clearly found. He was very well behaved!
I had a lovely stay at Duigan's home. The pets are all very nice and like to cuddle and trust me, you'll have a lot to cuddle. The bed was very comfortable. The neighbourhood around Ladner is very nice to explore.
I loved this sit! Gingie and Felix are 2 of the sweetest kitties you will ever meet. Gingie loves snuggles and Felix loves being close, but only on his terms. They are playful and love their outside time. They also love to nap, as cats do. Krista and Chris are so kind and generous. Their home is beautiful, super comfortable and organized. The Welcome guide is very well written and clear. Great communication throughout. I highly recommend this sit and hopefully we can come back sometime when my husband is able to join us, he was very disappointed to miss out on the kitty snuggles.
Sam and I loved spending time with Juice. She was initially pretty shy but completely warmed up to us within the first ten minutes or so of our arrival. From there on she was very cuddly, snuggly, and playful. Juice was so well-behaved on the leash that we were able to take her into a pet-friendly antique store nearby and walk with her off-leash at the park without any trouble. We enjoyed taking her to different places around town, including Mt. Tabor and the Rocky Butte Natural Area. She never tired on our walks and really seemed to appreciate getting out and about. Janel was easy to communicate with and very responsive during our sit. Janel was accommodating when we planned to attend a cider festival in the country and arranged for a neighbor to hang out with Juice for a bit, which we were very grateful for. The house was comfortable and we were impressed with the style of the interior of the home, which is just as fabulous as it looks in the photos. We loved the ambiance of the speakeasy, where we relaxed and played music from the record player. The homeowners have excellent taste in music. The most complicated part of Juice’s routine was simply chopping up chicken to serve with her kibble, which is to say her routine was not very complicated at all. We were sad to leave her when it was time for us to go, because Juice is a sweetheart and was such a joy to care for. We would gladly house-sit here again.
I met Tracy and Ray at the Grapevine dog park a while back, while I was sitting for another family. I am so glad I got to come and sit for their 3 fur babies- Lucy, Sandy, and Sunny! The house and pool are amazing and the neighborhood is good for dog walking. They are in the process of moving to Dallas so I hope I get the chance to sit for them there as well. They all get along very well, are sweet, and have their own special personalities. Sandy liked to sleep at the end of my bed and Lucy and Sunny on the floor. They sleep through the night without any problem. I work remotely and was able to do all my client sessions without any problems. Sunny is very protective and likes to bark so I shut myself in a separate room during client calls and all was well. Tracy and Ray are so friendly and down to earth, and I enjoyed spending time with Lucy, Sandy, and Sunny so I would definitely sit for them again in the future!
