Maralyn and Jerry are wonderful housesitters in every way. They looked after Lily and Poppy with love and care and we returned to two very happy and contented dogs. The house was immaculate. And Maralyn cooked us a delicious dinner on the evening we returned and also, very kindly, bought some beautiful flowers. They were very communicative, both before and during the sit which made me feel very reassured. They were also flexible and accommodating with our dates and holiday timings. We enjoyed getting to know Maralyn and Jerry on the first and last evening of the sit and hope they will revisit us and do another sit. I thoroughly recommend them as both house and dogs sitters.
What a superb and charming couple Jeff and Sylvie are for our first house sitting experience. We were leaving fairly early am on the first morning of the sitting however Jeff and Sylvie were able to stay with us the night before we left so we got to meet them, have dinner and brief them how things worked and the routine for Fleur and Lily They had diligently read through the Welcome pack so this briefing was quick and easy. Clearly, they had been here many times before. Originally Jeff is from London and Sylvie from Paris. We have been to Paris many times and is one of our favorite cities. Needless to say, we quickly felt at ease in their company and spent a very pleasant evening together. We formed a WhatsApp group and kept in touch whist we were away; Jeff and Sylvie regularly sending photos and updating us on Fleur and Lily (so reassuring), the post and parcels that seemed to turn up on a regular basis and the man that came to service the boiler! Fleur (a ragdoll kitten 7 months old) already the size of a normal adult was finding it difficult to use the cat flap and likes to playfully torment Lilly (who is 8 and very laid back). Lily gets fed up with Fleur but won’t retaliate. Jeff and Sylvie all but fixed this whilst we were away – clearly cat whisperers!! All very good whilst we were away but it gets even better. On our return (early evening) Sylvie had prepared a Parisian style dinner (it lasted us for 3 days!!) the fridge was stocked with essentials and the house was absolutely “spick and span”! An absolute 5 star couple and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to other house owners and look forward to welcoming them back in the not too distant future.
