This was Richard's first sit with zeewoi, so we went to extraordinary efforts to ensure that he had an extensive and thorough guide to caring for the critters, the house and the property. We even arranged for a pre-trip visit to the house to introduce Richard to the animals and the house. All the critters appeared to be in good stead upon our return. However, there were a few house items -- very basic -- that were overlooked, like bringing in the mail and newspapers, a package (gift) that was left on walkway near road that wasn't discovered until after a storm had passed, trash was taken out, but recycle was not . . . small details that take a sit from okay/sufficient to extraordinary.
Christine is an amazing host and she communicates well. Steve and Dunkin are sweet as can be and are well behaved. Squirtle the tortoise is shy and lovely. I really enjoyed my experience and would love to house sit again with Christine and her beautiful family.:)
We had such a wonderful experience watching over Fin and Ivy these last couple of weeks, and I can't tell you how heartbroken we felt this morning to have to wake up without their sweet snuggles and endless purring we've been so accustomed to! We miss our meowing little 6 am alarms! Brie and Michael were incredibly accommodating hosts, so easy to communicate with and very clear with their kitty routine instructions. Fin and Ivy are extremely affectionate kittens, and will love to be near you at all times. They're absolute lap kitties! They can get quite rowdy and playful as kittens tend to be, and they were so fun to play with or just watch their endless wrestling matches with each other. The only thing to watch out for is Fin and his insatiable hunger- no plate or packaged food that he can puncture with his teeth is safe in his reach :). The apartment is located in a newer gated development and within a short walking distance to nearby restaurants and supermarkets, and the actual city center of Puebla is roughly a 20 minute uber ride away. Public buses are also an option, but it can take up to an hour in total to use (if going to the center), and some knowledge of Spanish would definitely be needed for that option here. Once again, we had such a lovely time looking after these sweetheart kittens, and thank you once again for having us, Brie and Michael!
I highly recommend staying at Caroline and Jonnys place! It is a beautiful chalet, nested between the mountains and Neo is a big sweety. The house has everything you could need, is clean and comfortable. Caroline is easy to communicate with and they were very helpful, collecting me and leaving information and maps about the area. Neo is always ready for a cuddle (and a big walk) and is a lovely dog to take care of. Thank you for the housesit!
Ellie was brilliant at arranging our stay and making sure we had everything we needed. She invited us over to meet her and Sylvester before the sitting, and to show us around her place. Ellie was extremely welcoming and we loved her beautiful home. We both totally fell for Sylvester too!! Thank you so much for a lovely house-sitting experience.
This was above a 5* house sit in every way. Anne was very kind and picked us up from our hotel and took us shopping on the way home so we had everything we needed and she also took us to the train on our way home. The home was beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed spending time there. The cats are amazing. They are so friendly and want to sit with you most of the time but didn't complain when we went to bed without them. They just love cuddles like we have never seen before. We enjoyed every minute with them. Anne's house was just about 10 blocks walk to the old Downtown. We were amazed that all the buses were free and we took a different bus most days to just see the city and do some shopping. Everything you could need was easy to get to. People were very friendly and we enjoyed our walks. Thank you for sharing your home and kitties with us.
I had a great visit in Nashville caring for Maxi and Sally. They were very sweet. Emily was always quick to respond with any questions I had and she made me feel very welcome in their home.
