I had an amazing stay in Edmonton at Sean's apartment. The location is fabulous and right downtown so it was very convenient to get anywhere - groceries, buses, malls etc. Sean is very easy to communicate with and he made sure that I was comfortable during my stay. Little Bones, the kitty is very shy/nervous and stayed hidden for some time before warming up. Highly recommended!
Lovely home in a very pretty countryside location. We really enjoyed looking after Molly and Daisy, they are the sweetest little dogs. The chickens made us laugh, one of them followed us around and always tried to come into the house. The garden is huge and we brought some rackets and made use of the tennis court, even having someone from the local tennis club come down to give us a lesson. We didn't have a car and the area is fairly isolated but this meant that we did lots of walking and cycling. We even cycled 10 miles along the canal into Gloucester. Dot and John are a nice couple and we had plenty to talk about. No gardening was listed but there are a lot of plants to water especially as we were lucky to have had such hot weather so this did take up to an hour per day. We didn't mind and did the best we could to keep on top of it all. Daisy is elderly and we had a little panic in the second week as she started dry heaving a fair bit and would sound like she was choking. After contacting the vet and speaking with Dot, we learned that it's something she does sometimes and that it usually passes on it's own after a few days. We kept a close eye on her and she was ok but just something to be aware of. Lots of great walks from the house to take the dogs on. We enjoyed fresh eggs and picking strawberries in the garden.
We had a fantastic experience in Whitefish with Layla and Ali. Dennis and Shawna were amazing hosts. The first night they welcomed us with dinner and an overview of the house and cats. They had great communication throughout the whole process and answered all our questions promptly which made the responsibilities easy to handle. The cats were very lovable. It took a couple of days for Ali to warm up to us and a little bit longer for Layla but once they did, they loved pets and asking for snacks. Caring for them was very easy. They love to go outside and we kept their food and water filled along with providing wet food twice a day. Whitefish is perfect for any outdoor enthusiast. We love the area and hope that we can return some day!
The boys are so sweet and loving and we had such a wonderful time getting to know them! Claire and Mary are super welcoming and even cooked us a really nice dinner when we arrived, and the house is lovely and spacious. They were excellent communicators and gave us really detailed instructions (including a video guide that a previous house sitter made which was super helpful)! Mischa likes to chill and take it slow and Cadbury loves to go to the park and play fetch so my husband and I took them on separate walks which was really ideal. Amande is independent and you may not see him a whole lot - but he’s very sweet and affectionate during evening tv time :) the neighborhood is very cute with everything you need a few minutes walk away.
Jenn and Matt were kind and accommodating. Beautiful house with all the comforts of home. Their chihuahua Archie was bigger than life. He is all personality and he made my stay that much more enjoyable. I would housesit again, no questions asked.
Gorgeous sit with Blake in sunny Brighton. Roisin was an excellent communicator who left easy to follow instructions and even a bottle of wine which I throughly enjoyed! Blake was a cuddly dream. I had a fabulous time.
