Dua is a darling. She’s the perfect mix of loyal companion, adventurous partner, and comic goofball. Above all, she is sweet, well-mannered, and (largely) calm. The brackets in the preceding sentence arises from her running. Like Springsteen, Dua was Born to Run! Lynn’s house backs onto lands where you may walk with Dua around a wooded bluff … but whilst you might walk, Dua’s going to run and run and run. She’ll run three kilometres for every one you walk. But she’ll never go far and she’ll always check in on you. If you call her, she’ll come. Taking a walk with her is an exercise in rejuvenation; you’ll find yourself smiling at her youthful energy and feeling alive! Inside the house, Dua is calm and likes just hanging out wherever you decide to be. Lynn’s house is lovely, set up a rise from Lac Castor’s south shore. It has wonderful views of the lake and hills beyond. It’s nestled beside a small forest and its rushing river flowing out of the lake over a series of small falls. It’s the epitome of a hidden gem off the beaten track. The house is well laid-out and inherently comfortable. Using Lynn’s home as a base, we went for hikes in the woods every other day, going up the nearby Mount Devlin, exploring the Des Zingues trail, and marvelling at the beauty of the Caroline trail. The house is perfectly placed to explore the nature reserve and even the town of Mont Tremblant. And if you don’t like hiking in the woods, Lynn had a kayak and a canoe! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Dua. We hope to return to take care of her in an idyllic setting in the future.
