I had such a blast with Leeloo. She's so precious, adorable and well-trained. I had a memorable time being her human for a few days. I took Leeloo to a few restaurants with me that had outdoor seating and she behaved perfectly. She's also a great hiking companion. She always stayed on the path and, unless she had do some business, she hardly stopped to smell anything and everything as some dogs are wont to do. This is especially good since there's a lot of poison oak in the trails in the Santa Cruz area. When you're out with Leeloo, I will guarantee you that you'll get lots of comments from strangers. I lost count of how many people mentioned in passing what a cutie patootie she is or inquiring what kind of mix she is. One time when we were waiting at a crosswalk, some lady shouted out her car window saying "You have a cute dog!" as she drove past. It was really fun taking her to the dog-friendly beaches: Lighthouse Field Beach and Mitchell's Cove. She loved being off leash. There were so many other dogs for her to play with or you can bring a ball and play fetch. It was fun watching all of the dogs interact with each other. When it was time to go, it wasn't hard getting her back on the leash since she's so obedient. Emma was easy to communicate with and gave great instructions on how to care for Leeloo and her home. The house was very comfortable and I absolutely LOVED the location. It was in walking distance to many restaurants, grocery story and not too far from the beach. I think I walked to about 80% of the restaurants I went to during my stay. Overall, this was a 5 star experience!
Had the best time with sweet Rosie and Chloe! Rosie loves her walks and has a great routine. She doesn’t really like to share any attention with Chloe so she got to cuddle with me at night after Rosie went to sleep. The house is very comfortable. The backyard is so relaxing. Wish it had been warmer to get in the pool. The neighborhood very nice and had fun visiting with the the neighbors on our walks. Kim was great to communicate with and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend pet sitting for this great family!
Lily is a beautiful friendly cat, who needed little feeding but did like to be fussed. She spent a lot of time outside which was a bit tricky given that she had a curfew of 7pm and she was not supposed to be left outside if we went out. We would call and call her but she wasn’t near by in the garden to hear. We dealt only with Faye, Liz’s daughter as Liz is retired. Her house was as you would expect from a retired person. The bed arrangement was 2 single beds next to each other which wasn’t a problem for us at all. Faye communicated very well with us through short videos showing us the plants to be watered and how the household utilities worked which was much appreciated. Clacton pier was very fun to visit with my daughter. Overall a good house sitting experience. Thank you.
Our sit at Martha, Ralph and EmmaCat’s was outstanding! Communications were complete and easy to follow, given to us electronically prior and available again on arrival. Ralph and Marth’s home was absolutely beautiful and super functional. Clean and well organized. The location was fantastic with a great view of the city and with great access right out the door to hiking trails. EmmaCat was the sweetest cat ever!!! Warmed up right away. She loved a good session of mouse on a string and stick. Nothing beats a box and some twisty ties though. Was a five star sit and if asked and available, would return in a heartbeat. I had a great experience housesitting for Sharel and Lorne. Tucker was an absolute delight - very well behaved, friendly with other dogs, never barked and great both on and off leash (coming from someone who is usually nervous having dogs off leash). There are great trails nearby as well as a local neighbourhood loop that is very easy. Tilly took a little while to warm up but once she had she was very cuddly. Sharel and Lorne are great people, they hosted me the night before they were leaving and introduced me to the house and pets. I was also able to meet their daughter and her partner over dinner in case there were any issues while they were away. Their house is lovely and in a great area too. I highly recommend if you get the opportunity!
