David and Steve were very welcoming and made a lovely dinner on my arrival. The home is clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed my time in Guelph. They were very organized and provided good information/communications about their home and their gorgeous heart stealing dog Sparks. Sparks is a wonderful companion and a great dog. He is very well behaved, has a charming personality, and is a joy to hang with. We went on many happy adventures together exploring Guelph. Sparks is not fixed. I learned this in our telephone interview so was prepared. Perhaps it could be noted in the listing as it affects taking Sparks out on walks when you meet other dogs and requires a pet sitter who is comfortable with this situation... that being said, I truly had a wonderful pet sit with Sparks.
What a wonderful sit—with wonderful kitties and wonderful hoomans! Four sweet kitties (plus a few assorted outdoor neighborhood kitties to leave some food for everyday) that couldn’t have been more fun. Cosmo (the elderly gentleman), Vache (the explorer), and Callie and Zucca (Thing 1 and Thing 2….:)—all four were wonderful to care for and pretty low maintenance (although Callie was a bit of a mischief-maker). Mary and Terry were absolutely wonderful as homeowners. They picked us up from the train, wined and dined us, made sure all was clear, and their home is stunning with fabulous views. Penne is very lively, friendly, and walkable (although it is hilly, but manageable). Also, excellent WiFi if you need to work remotely. We cannot recommend this sit highly enough. We had a very nice cat to look after and she was v good. The house is charming and full of character, set in a quiet, rural location with several towns that can be reached easily by car. The large secluded garden is really peaceful and interesting to be in. There were lots of birds to observe and listen to. The swimming pool was an added bonus. We had a v nice welcome and shown round before having a meal together. Everything worked out very well.
We had a great sit here! Perfect place to explore Las Palmas and the wider area. Gaia is a caring and loving dog. Once she gets to know you and you know her, you can have a lot of fun! Rachel is very communicative and super helpful, if she doesn’t know, she’ll ask someone who does. Thanks again for such a great sit 😊
I had a lovely stay for a long weekend with Supi, in Alexey’s beautiful apartment. Everything was really clean when I arrived, and he has taken a lot of care to put everything in place for house sitters. Supi was great fun to spend the weekend with - he definitely has his energetic times of day when he needs lots of attention and play time, as he’s under a year old he has a lot of kitten habits which are very cute, but he sometimes needs a little bit of distraction when he gets carried away. We also enjoyed afternoon cuddles at his sleepier times of day. Communication with Alexey was great, and his lovely apartment is in an ideal location too. 10/10 housesit, thankyou :) 👍👍
Let's start with Tasha. An amazing dog that I absolutely loved spending time with. She is well trained. Dave doesn't use the typical commands and I had to refer to his cheat sheet, but quickly learned the commands and I delighted when Tasha responded. Dave is very hospitable and his home comfortable. I walked Tasha in the safe and walkable neighborhood. Tasha has a huge fenced yard to play in as well. She never tires of playing catch. Deland is filled with many things to do and Daytona is nearby but being spring break time, I opted to expore the St. Johns River boat tour instead. All the usual supermarkets are just a short car ride away. Many, many parks to explore.
