What an amazing UK experience this sit was! Surpassed all our expectations. Iveta and Chris were so accommodating in every way. Great communication before, during and even after our sit (as we still continue to keep in touch). An absolutely great family that welcomed us in with open arms. In fact, they went above and beyond. We were invited both to come as early as we wanted as well as extending our stay to suit our schedule when we were leaving. And had completely stocked the kitchen with fresh groceries! Could not believe how well we were treated. We've never been so spoiled before (and only hope that we reciprocated it back with our pet and home care). The village and home have amazing history. This was our first thatch roof home stay and having spent time with Iveta and Chris allowed us to learn some of the history of the home and surrounding area. And speaking of the surrounding area, you are literally dead centre in the middle of an endless number of historic sites. We normally prefer to not stray very far from home, but being so close to things such as Stonehenge and Avebury allowed us to visit while leaving the house for very short amounts of time. Iveta was kind enough to arrange for a friend/neighbour to care for the pets if we wanted a longer getaway (which in the end was not required, as we enjoyed the pets/home so much that we were rarely gone for more than an hour at a time). And speaking of pets.... we are still missing our newly extended fur family. Bessie (the dog) is the best! A gentle giant that took us in and became our instant best friend. Astrid and Swinda (cats) were lovable and independent (as well as exceptional hunters that brought us more than our share of "welcome gifts"). And our very first guinea pig experience with Teddy and Coffee. A lot of animals that required very little other than a lot of love. This experience has left a lasting impression on us. We are grateful to have met Iveta and family and hope to be reunited many more times in the years ahead.
Mills has a lovely, large home and garden where we as a family were able to relax in the peace and quiet of the beautiful countryside, with amazing views. Jet and the two rabbits were easy to care for - a pleasant stay all round!
We had a great stay at Mark's with Millie. She is adorable, affectionate and active, it is a pleasure to share activities and spend time with her! We miss her already! Mark made us feel comfortable and gave us all the information we needed to take care of Millie. Mark's house is really cozy and his neighbourhood is nice, surrounded by trails, it's perfect to walk around with Millie.
Ashley isn't just an amazing pet parent; her adorable Bengal, Princess Leia, is a delight to be around. Although we only met the day before my sitting, our communication beforehand was exceptional. We bonded over our love for our furry friends, and Ashley shared a lot about Leia, which put me at ease even before meeting her. Ashley's instructions were clear, concise, and easy to follow, and her high-tech home was impressive. She showed me everything I needed to know and even gave great recommendations. Leia is a joy to care for, enjoying relaxation, playtime, and the occasional work session by your side. The location, near a tram and local shops, was convenient, and Ashley was always responsive. I truly loved looking after Leia; she's incredibly sweet and a wonderful companion. I'm excited to care for Leia again and hopefully see Ashley in the future. Thank you all so much for having me in your amazing home.
We had an amazing stay at Patricia and Bob's home, they were gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. They communicated many times before they left for us to enjoy the home as if it were our own. We had a couple of days with Patricia and Bob to get oriented with their property, puppies and kitties. Each pet had such a unique personality, and we enjoyed getting to know each of them before our departure. We took the dogs on 1.5 - 2 hours walks daily, lots of roads and trails to discover. The gem is the waterfall/lagoon area. We fell in love with it!! Otherwise, lots of pats, cuddles and kisses all around. Patricia sent messages to locals or contacts to us to connect with the local community and reminders of events while they were away. We enjoyed getting to meet several locals, that were equally welcoming. Their home is beautiful, warm and comfortable with everything you need for a short or long stay. Our stay was just over three weeks and it flew by. The view from their property is just as mesmerising as staring at a fire (for those that like to do that), you can just get lost in the beauty as time passes by. We were very sad to leave the pets and the area. A piece of our heart's were definitely left behind, tears fell on the final day saying goodbye to each of the pets. We'd come back to Torio in a heartbeat to care for Patricia and Bob's home and pets, it was a retreat for us with the walks, lagoon/waterfall, pool, area for yoga, kitchen to cook, Ole (Mexican restaurant) for a treat, Thea's amazing sourdough bread and more treats and the local market fell on one of the Saturdays we were there. Thank you Patricia and Bob for your hospitality and give us the experience to meet and care for your furry babies!! Jolene and Ant xx
Kitana is a cool cat in every sense of the term. The perfect mix of “Hey! I need some pets!” and “Now isn’t a good time.” She isn’t shy and we buddies up right from the get-go. Melissa’s home is comfortable and well-appointed. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was able to get the work done that I needed to while comfortable and secure. I highly recommend this sit. Only 15 minutes from the heart of things, yet tucked away from it all.
