It was so lovely to meet Henny, Tom, baby Fiona and their lovely cats, Sibby and Elsie. They are such beautiful, affectionate cats, and enjoyed a snuggle on the sofa with us in the evening. Henny and Tom left a detailed instruction pack, with everything covered, and were very warm and welcoming upon our arrival. Henny gave us a tour of their home to make sure we knew where everything was. They also gave us lots of advice on where to visit and eat. There is an abundance of cafes and restaurants to choose from in Cookham! We highly recommend Malik's Indian Restaurant, just across the road. We were only there for one night but had such a great weekend. Their home is stunning and our bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. They live close to the Thames Path and there are lots of walks in the area. Cliveden Estate is only a few miles away too. We would love to sit again.
What to say that isn’t obvious by reading Claire and family’s profile. Firstly what a beautiful house and what a beautiful part of the world to house sit. I initially thought it would be challenging to get to town as I had a motorhome but after one trip to the shops I realised I didn’t have to as there was so much to do along Reigate hill. It’s actually quite remarkable how much.. I’ll let you discover it for yourselves though. 😉 Cookie and I hit it off but Stevie was a bit illusive. We eventually made friends but I think he would definitely need a longer sit to come out of his shell.. when he did Cookie was always their to steal the limelight.. I would have loved to have been available to sit again but sadly had another house sit arranged in Scotland. I would consider it an honour to be invited back. Thank you Claire and family. 🫶🏻
Jenny is really bubbly and friendly. Her home is very elegant and comfortable. The garden has a beautiful view and sunsets, free of charge. And best of all, 5 very individual and absolutely adorable pups who know who they are and what they want. Never a boring moment, lots of cuddles and waggy tails and under constant supervision of 10 eyes. Had a wonderful time.
I had a wonderful experience staying at Emma's place. Emma was very communicative and ensured everything was set up for my stay. Emma's pets, Renfri and Dori, were delightful—very low maintenance and incredibly affectionate. They love to snuggle and give kisses! Emma's apartment is in a fantastic location. You don't need a car because everything you could possibly want in Portland is within walking distance. From great restaurants and cafes to parks and shopping, it's all right there. I highly recommend staying at Emma's for anyone looking to explore Portland with ease and enjoy some quality pet companionship!
I had a really great time at Gemma’s place in Wivenhoe. Wivenhoe is a beautiful town, with easy bus and train access into Colchester. Charlie is very affectionate: he’ll do his own thing during the day, giving you time to explore, but cuddles up with you in the evening in front of the TV. Thanks a lot, Gemma!
We absolutely loved our stay with sweet Laney. We spent most of our time watching Golden Girls and visiting the local park. Laney was great on a leash, took her pills easily and always went potty in her designated spots. The apartment was spotless and perfectly located in a convenient, central neighborhood. We enjoyed meals at a number of walkable eateries and there are several grocery stores nearby if you prefer to cook. We would definitely stay with Laney again and enjoyed our visit!
