Anne
Awesome pets and home. Anne was generous with her home and flexible about certain details. Sadly, communication was sometimes less than respectful, conscientious, or effective, which I feel is the minimum for exchanges between strangers to run smoothly. Nothing traumatizing, but definitely less than ideal in a rural environment. I had to set boundaries regarding political discussions, which Anne was eager to engage in. She also raised her voice on one occasion, which I found a bit shocking. Overall, I did not feel she trusted my ability to make good decisions, not by any fault of mine. Nevertheless, I enjoyed spending time with the animals in a beautiful setting.

Katie and Cody were incredibly easy to housesit for. Their instructions were clear, concise, and contained everything we needed without a hiccup. Sarah is sweet and affectionate, as well as a little bundle of energy that will play with you anytime you want. She loved going on walks, which was great because the neighborhood and location is very walkable. Kevin is completely chill and pretty much does his own thing. He will definitely meow like he supposed to be fed around lunchtime, but he isn’t and we were prepared for that since it was mentioned in the welcome packet. Nice try kevin! We would definitely house sit here again!

We enjoyed every moment of this sit with three amazing pets-- two adorable, quirky, and low-maintenance doggies and one gorgeous, independent, playful kitty! Jack and Lucille are such great dogs, they stole our hearts immediately! Kitten took some time to warm up to us but she's such a sweetheart too, and she loves chasing shadows!
Jan and Chris were extremely kind and generous, wonderful hosts. I won't give away too much, but they really went above and beyond for us. It was lovely getting to know them both the evening before the sit. Jan was kind enough to pick us up from the airport and make a delicious vegan meal for us! They explained everything we needed to know about their home and pets. Jan was always just a call or text away any time we needed anything! We had some technical difficulties with the car but they were both extremely understanding and helpful, and were able to swiftly solve the problem-- what a relief!
Their home is absolutely gorgeous and had everything we could possibly need to feel happy and comfortable. Their yard/garden is also amazing!! Their home is outside of the city-- quiet and peaceful-- great place to social distance!

Pepsi is a sweetie! Lets you know when its dinnertime, or if she wants pats. Enjoys freedom with her cat door, but likes to know you're home too.

Friendly, communicative hosts - very welcoming. The house has everything you could need. Bed was comfy too!

There are bus routes to Bristol City 3mins away or 10mins walk gets you to a bus route to Bristol Parkway. There are 2 pubs less than 5mins walk away, but couldn't hear them from the house. Can recommend the hot chips at The Crafty Cow.

Jan is a great host and has a wonderful home which is peaceful and quiet, set in beautiful countryside surrounded by animals. The dogs and alpacas are too cute and easy enough to look after. Freya is a big girl and sometimes forgets there's a human attached to the lead when she follows her nose, so you would need to be comfortable with handling a strong dog, but she's an absolute sweetie! You need a car to get around but there's lots to see and do within a short drive which makes it easy to have quick jaunts to places like Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks.

A Memorable Stay with Mabel in West Newton

Our time with Mabel in West Newton was an absolute delight! From the moment we met her, she stole our hearts with her playful energy and charming personality. Once she realized we were a team, she hilariously herded us for every walk, making each outing a memorable adventure.

The mornings at Cat Rock park were the highlight of our days. Watching Mabel and her furry friends run free, playfully splash in the streams, and enjoy the great outdoors was a joy to behold. It was the perfect start to our days, filled with laughter and fun.

Mabel's laid-back demeanor was truly endearing. Whether she was peering out the front window on her seat, lounging on the back deck, keeping watch by our side, or zooming through the backyard with lightning speed, she never failed to bring a smile to our faces.

Liz and Louis's home provided the perfect backdrop for our stay. Centrally located near fantastic restaurants like Sweet Basil, with its unique blend of fine Italian cuisine and speakeasy vibes, we were spoiled for great stay when it came to dining options. And being just 20-30 minutes from downtown Boston was an added bonus, allowing us to explore the city at our leisure.

The home itself was both quaint and comfortable, with a layout that made us feel right at home. The abundance of sunshine streaming in each day created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it easy for us to relax and enjoy our surroundings.

Thank you, Liz and Louis, for entrusting us with your home and Mabel. Our stay was truly wonderful, and we look forward to returning for more adventures in the future!
