I got to hang out with Angus and Gordie for a weekend. They loved going on their walks, playing and getting pet throughout the day. They would join me if I sat in the backyard or as I watered the plants at night - ultimately, great company. The house is in a nice neighborhood with some cute local shops and a grocery store in walking distance. Stephen was a great host that left me with a comfortable setup to enjoy with the boys for the weekend. Thanks!

Had a great stay at Charlotte and Julian's welcoming family home.

Woody. Woody. Woody. The happiest dog along with my dog Sonny. He was such a sweety 😍

And Charlotte was very communicative and helpful. It was lovely to meet the whole family and be so warmly welcomed.

We had such a great time watching Fig and Louise. They are wonderful funny pups and kept us well entertained. Carolyn, Casey and family were a pleasure to meet. Communication was excellent. The neighborhood is really walkable with a convenience store, Via Rosa restaurant, Bay Hay and Feed store as well as yummy wine tasting near by. Easy beautiful forest hikes really close to the house and the dogs are great on leash. Backyard deck was a delight to relax after playing Pickleball on their court or Ping Pong Ball upstairs. Home is very comfortable and even has air conditioning that saved us during the heat wave. We highly recommend this sit.

Milly
This was the first sit I'd done in a few years and it was absolutely lovely. Brenda and Milly could not have been more welcoming or more helpful with information and directions - and with a lovely dinner the day we arrived. It was fantastic to be able to arrive the day before they left, it took time pressure off all of us. They are lovely people and great company and they took a lot of time and care to ensure we knew exactly what to do for the animals and also some lovely places to go. The house is warm and comfortable (as are the beds) with a spectacular view over the River Wye.
Piti the cat is adorable - a great talker who loves a fuss and you can't help but fall in love with her (and spoil her just a bit). The tortoises are so funny. I've not looked after them before and we were endlessly fascinated by their hilarious behaviour. One, in particular, is a very naughty boy.. They are very easy to care for as well. Then there are the wild badgers - who I never met, but for whom I prepared a picnic every evening, including peanut butter sandwiches!
The surrounding area is beautiful and full of fascinating history. The village of Brockweir itself has many listed houses and it is five minutes' drive from Tintern and the wonderful abbey. And it is only a short hop to Monmouth, Chepstow, Trellech, Caerleon, Caldicot and Caerwent (can you tell we are history buffs?). There truly is something for everyone there - history, nature, walking, canoeing and so much more. Even spending the day relaxing in the garden is special and, if you're there at the right time of year, the home-grown produce is delicious (especially the tomatoes)! I totally recommend this house sit. It really is very special.

MJ and Mike are some of the nicest and most generous people you could ever meet. I loved taking care of Bijou and their place. Bijou and I took a couple of days to find our rhythm but now we're BFFs. I sure do miss her! Thanks guys :D

From the moment I set foot in the lovely Londoner neighborhood of Thames Ditton, I knew this house and pet sitting assignment would be a special one. Amanda and her family went out of their way to ensure I felt comfortable and at home. Their warm hospitality was genuinely heartwarming, and it set the tone for a delightful stay.

The proximity to the Thames added an element of tranquility, with its gentle flow creating a backdrop for many memorable moments.

Their Beagle, Percy, is an absolute joy. He's endearing, well-behaved, and has a character that's hard to forget. Caring for him was not just a duty but a genuine pleasure. Our bonding was instant, and I cherished every moment spent with him. His playful nature and zest for life made each day bright, regardless of the weather outside.

The house itself is situated in a serene part of Thames Ditton, offering a peaceful environment that any house sitter would appreciate. All the amenities were up-to-date, and the overall ambiance was both cozy and inviting.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend house and pet sitting for Amanda and her family highly enough. The experience was nothing short of exceptional. Should the opportunity arise, I would be eager to look after Percy and their beautiful home again in a heartbeat. If you ever get the chance to sit for them, count yourself fortunate!

Personal note:
Thank you for entrusting me with your home and the privilege of spending time with Percy, Amanda. It's been an unforgettable experience. Looking forward to more heartwarming moments together! Cheers!
