Louisa
We had the pleasure of looking after Loki, Thor, Chilli and the chickens over a long weekend. Communication with Louisa was really good, and she showed me around her home and explained feeding and caring tasks for the pets.

Unfortunately there had been an unforeseen issue in the morning which affected timelines, so the handover was a bit rushed, but covered everything necessary.

Louisa's home is very comfortable and has everything you need to enjoy a stay. Chilli really likes people and chattered to me and my two sons a lot - he loved when we were nearby and they liked to dance with him and talk to him.

We didn't see much of Thor, though he did sleep on my youngest son when he was asleep :) Thor generally kept himself to himself but liked a few strokes and has the loveliest little miaow.

Loki is a very very sweet dog - although he is big he has a heart of gold and was a joy to look after. We had lots of cuddles, both my boys felt comfortable around him and snuggled with him. Once my husband arrived we took Loki out on two walks; despite his size he doesn't need long walks. He was great on the lead and didn't show much interest in other dogs. He is a joy to take care of with a deep voice and lots of love to give!

We didn't do much with the chickens other than enjoy their eggs and admire them. Louisa's back yard is a great place to relax, looking over the river which is very peaceful.

We had a lovely time! Thanks Louisa for trusting us with your home and gorgeous furry family members.

Rhozi was super easy to sit for as she tells you exactly what she wants! The apartment and neighbourhood are lovely and felt super safe to walk Rhozi at night. Everything went smoothly and was well communicated - would recommend!

When we arrived we were given a very warm welcome by Sue and Dottie. After a cup of tea Sue showed us around her beautiful stone house which is located in a peaceful hamlet just outside Condom, surrounded by stunning countryside.

After a delicious home cooked meal Sue showed us around her home which is comfortably furnished and has everything you could ever need. Our large, ensuite front bedroom enjoyed far reaching views across the lovely French countryside.

We enjoyed our visits to La Romieu, Laressingle, Gazauprouy, Nerac Market on Saturday and Mezin Market on Sunday. Condom is the attractive main town only 10 minutes drive away and where we were very fortunate to see the Olympic Flame which was passing through.

But most of all we enjoyed our walks in the blissfully quiet local countryside with Dottie and sitting on the large kitchen terrace with its extensive vista and watching the ever-changing and often dramatic skyline.

Dottie is a beautiful Springer Spaniel who enjoys chasing her ball and long walks. She never failed to amaze us how she could manage to sniff out a tennis ball that she had lost on a previous walk in a field of long grass. When off the lead during our local walks she had good recall when whistled to come back. She is a quiet and gentle dog who is well behaved and a great companion both at home and when out and about. Dottie travelled well in the car and joined us on all of our local outings. When in busy public places Dottie was always on her lead and behaved extremely well in shops and sat quietly at our feet when in a cafe or restaurant.

All communication with Sue before and during the sit was excellent. We really enjoyed getting to know Sue who is a gracious and wonderful host, good company and very easy to get along with. We really enjoyed our time looking after Dottie and Sue’s home and we are very much looking forward to our second sit in September!

John and Sally were so welcoming and their home is lovely. A thorough handover was supported by a welcome pack and a walkthrough of Chirri the cats routines and feeding habits, The area is pretty rural with lots of walks , and it is only a short drive to local villages, towns and beaches. The nearest pub is about a 25min walk or a 5min drive. The wifi speed also allowed two of us to work from home , so we had a lovely week away from home, still worked- and I got my cat 'fix' Chirri was a little nervous at first but by the end of the week was very relaxed and loving his strokes and belly rubs. Great first experience of petsitting

I had a lovely time looking after Dillon and Flo, who were very easy and enjoyable cats to mind. The apartment is modern with all modern appliances). It is a short walk to a number of buses, about 15 minutes level walk to the O2 and North Greenwich station for the Jubilee line (for easy access to Westminster without changing), and there are shops nearby (an easy level walk of under 10 minutes), including an enormous Sainsbury and an Aldi even closer. There didn’t seem to be many restaurants nearby or the local pubs that are common in Greenwich itself, but that’s an easy bus ride (by the 129), with the stop only a few minutes walk from the apartment. All in all a great house-sit, although a short one. Thanks Will and Grant for choosing me.
