We had an amazing time in Basel and loved the cats. They are very nice and easygoing. The communication with Colleen was perfect and everything was very clear!
This delightful home, the Empire of two kitties — Greta (a.k.a. Diva) and Max (a.k.a. Love Lug) — is optimally located within walking distance of the über-cool Piedmont business & restaurant sector in one Direction, and a grocery store, along with popular chain eateries, in the other. The homeowners are gracious and kind, and left excellent, clear instructions. The backyard is vast, with patio furniture to hang out and relax, but always remember to keep the kitties 110% inside! 😉 (An easy thing to do.) Due to its location, this neighborhood rarely gets overheated or too cold, a blessing during California summers and winters. Tips for future sitters: Greta prefers her dry food to be completely separated from the [freshly opened] wet food, and needs a well-guarded “dining bubble” from Mr. Max (who can be distracted, nudged, or cuddled in a separate area).
Mimi and Rooh were great cats to sit for, they are my favorite types of cats - those that like you back :)~ Rooh is a foodie though and what i found is that If I give him the empty can of catfood along with his portion (after putting him in the laundry room) it will give Mimi enough time to eat. Then by the time Rooh is done being busy with the can and opens the sliding door, Mimi is finished! Great cats! Though I didn't meet Ananya, she was very responsive over WhatsApp.
We had a wonderful stay at Anne & Nick's beautiful home with the delightful Truffle! Anne & Nick are gracious hosts who provided everything we needed for a successful stay, with great communication both before and during the sit. Truffle is an absolute joy and we so loved taking her for days out. Equally, on a couple of less pooch-friendly trips, she was comfortable to be left at home for a few hours, and we were greeted to a very warm welcome back! There are lovely National Trust properties nearby, Henley, Marlow & Oxford are within 30 mins car journey and Sydenham and the surrounding villages are beautiful. A highly recommended stay - thank you Anne & Nick!
We had an amazing time at Nick and Sue’s taking care of Abbey and Brandy! The home was spectacular and Brandy and Abbey were so very lovable. We found so many things to do and see in the area. We would definitely love to come back one day. Thanks again, for being so hospitable.
We had a great time sitting ‘the girls’; Kolly and Gigi, both such sweet and cute dogs. Felt very safe with these pets. They were great at guarding the home but also so cute and cuddly with us, not to mention extremely well behaved/trained and hassle free throughout. Stephanie was a lovely dog mom, she appreciated being kept in the loop with the updates we sent every day on her fur babies. She kindly let us use her condiments and coffee in her home. It is a lovely apartment situated in a nice neighbourhood, with plenty of restaurants and shopping options nearby! Only downside was that the wifi was a little slow and as remote workers that caused some problems from us but it was usable, just not great at streaming or online meetings.
