Each day we were gone we received detailed updates of all the fun hikes and adventures the pets were having with them. And we returned to a home that was tidier than we left it. Can't ask for more from housesitters and we'd have the two of them back again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!
Pamela has a beautiful and pristinely clean home that has everything you could possibly need. There are miles of trails to enjoy long forest walks on just outside the door. But the best part is how sweet her fur babies are. The cats are a delight and Bailey is the sweetest softest cuddle partner anyone could wish for. We had an incredible experience sitting for Francesca & Philipp in Mijoux. The sit was absolutely fantastic, and it's safe to say that we miss Sofia, the lovely cat with the most unique sleeping positions. Francesca and Philipp were exceptionally communicative throughout the entire process. They left us a guide with wonderful activities to enjoy around Mijoux. What stood out even more was their thoughtfulness in providing us with recommendations during a week of bad weather – it truly made our stay so much better. Francesca was always available and eager to assist with any questions or concerns I had, which was incredibly reassuring. Their dedication to ensuring our stay was enjoyable was nothing short of amazing. The Mijoux cat gang, including Sofia, Blackie, Grandpa, and Hoppy stole our hearts and made the experience all the more memorable. I can't speak highly enough of the warm hospitality and welcoming atmosphere they provided. I highly recommend this sit to anyone. I'm already looking forward to the possibility of returning and reliving this incredible experience.
We had a great stay at Katie and Peter's house in Romsey - Katie and Peter invited us to a meal on the evening before they left on holiday and explained throughly all of the things we needed to be aware of in the house and with the pets, leaving clear notes. The retrievers Mabel and Daffodil are good natured and fun to be with, we enjoyed taking them for walks to the local stream and back - paddling in the stream seems to be one of their favourite activities! Kusa likes curling up on your lap and it was nice to sit with her and the dogs in the evening. It was relaxing sitting on the terrace and looking out at the garden with its variety of flowering shrubs and mature trees. The house is very well equipped with everything that is needed for an enjoyable stay. The area is very interesting with the New Forest on the doorstep and Romsey and Winchester not far away. Highly recommended.
Smudge is well behaved, very loving and overall a great dog. Kim was very easy to deal with, friendly and cool person. Overall, we had a wonderful house sitting experience.
We stayed 2 weeks with Tink and Pippin and we enjoyed our time a lot. Both of them were lovely and easy to take care of. Briony and Mitch were welcoming and the home was very tidy.
We had a lovely few days in Nicky and Dan's beautiful, comfortable home looking after their sweet cat Vinny and 3 gorgeous pigs. It was lovely to meet Nicky and Dan before they set off and be shown how to look after the pigs and they couldn't have been kinder. It's a lovely area to explore and we'd love to sit again one day!
