We arrived at Rosie’s and Rob’s beautiful home a day prior to their holiday departure. We went through the care needs of their dog Belle and the necessary instructions of how everything operated within the house. The house is located a hundred yards from a quintessential English pub and two hundred yards from the River Thames. We basked in glorious sunshine as went on invigorating walks beside the Thames with Belle, who was an absolute pleasure to be with. She is both well behaved and good fun. We adored her. The house itself satisfies all a house-sitter’s needs. Whether you want to exert yourself in the gym or while your time away in the lovely secluded garden, there is much to do. Furthermore, Sonning’s location makes it an ideal base for exploring many places of interest in both Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
Sarah and Andy’s home is a beautiful and tranquil place to stay, right on the edge of Delamere Forest. We were made very welcome and stayed in their gorgeous guest room which had an en suite shower room. The pet family were very easy to care for, the dogs Pippa, Tilly and the fabulous Sizzle are lovely dogs that are very easy to look after and very well trained. We loved walking in the forest with them every day. Nala the cat loved to join us in the evenings and was also easy to care for. The chickens only needed checking once a day for food and water and laid lovely fresh eggs. We would highly recommend this house sit as it is in a beautiful location, lovely accommodation with three lovely dogs who will keep you entertained. Thank you Sarah and Andy for making us feel so welcome.
Clyde is a sweet dog and we had fun taking care of him for Samantha. He definitely enjoys company and being outside. There’s a great park nearby and plenty of dog parks and places to bring dogs in Portland. Samantha was easy to communicate with and her apartment is in a fantastic location.
It was such a pleasure to stay at Alma and Lawson’s clean, tidy, organized house with Nacho! I felt very comfortable there. Nacho and I not only walked the neighborhood but also went to nearby Meuller Park several times for some long walks and a little running. Nacho took some time warming up to me, but he is a well-behaved dog and loves to be petted. He will let know he wants more if you stop too soon.
Codi was the perfect low maintenance coworker while I was visiting and working remotely. She loves to be near you and know what you're up to while also appreciating the space to do her own thing. Juliette and Aly were super helpful with recommendations in the area. Their place was clean, and had everything you need for a great stay. Thank you both again!
