We enjoyed a lovely weekend house/dog sitting for Nancy and her family. They live in a beautiful area of Toronto that we got to explore together with lovely Wickham. Wickham is a sweet heart, he loves his treats, his walks and the fuss and cuddles you can give him. They were very kind to us and we had a lovely experience all together. We wish you all the best and hope to meet again somewhere in this "tiny" world we live in!
Dorje and Kipu are such sweet and friendly dogs. I really enjoyed my time with them and they were a pleasure to look after. Gaynor's house is beautiful and she was very welcoming.
I was very fortunate to have Whitney and Sanders agree to let me take care of their beautiful home and two precious indoor/outdoor kitties, Tela and Mr. Miner. Tela and Mr. Miner are the sweetest and softest little fur balls you could possibly imagine. Much of the time they are outside exploring the beautiful yard and the dock (looking for interesting small critters to chase). Other times they're cozied up on their tree or bed. They're very loving towards one another. Sometimes they'll cuddle up, licking and cleaning one another and then settle in together for a nap. Other times they'll play fight, which is fun to watch as they race from one end of the house to the other, tumbling and turning from a silver streak to a rolling ball of silver fur, but then it will be all over as quickly as it began and they'll curl up together again. They also have plenty of toys to keep them entertained and their feeding schedule is a breeze as they are not particularly food-focused. They come and go through a cat door which usually remains open so they can have access to a small yard area and the deck during the night but still remain behind an outside gate that keeps them safe. They didn't use the indoor litter box at all because they were out often enough and prefer to go outside. And, of course, they're available for as much petting as you might want to give them, which will be a lot because they are the softest of anything you can imagine! Mr. Miner is a deep thinker, sightly aloof until he gets to know you, and Tela is a real love bug who starts purring as soon as she sees you reach out to her! Whitney is very communicative and was lightning fast in responding to any questions I had, which I greatly appreciated, especially given the time zone difference. The house is a dream to spend time in as it has so much natural light, is clean and well equipped both for cooking and for sleeping, and is easy to maintain. The kitchen has everything you might need with multiple ovens, gas cooktop, microwave, toaster, etc. In addition, their outdoor deck is amazing with a beautiful view, TV, and outdoor kitchen/BBQ. If more than one sitter, there are two bedrooms and full bath available for sitters' use. The bedroom and large bed were very comfortable and I appreciated use of their closet space. The home is very restful and beautiful. Being right on the river with the large expanse of glass in the main rooms offering views of the yard, river, and hills beyond makes it an idyllic environment. Thank you Whitney and Sanders! I couldn't have asked for a more delightful sit experience! To potential future sitters, I highly recommend this sit!
Easily five stars here! Cathy & Nick are fabulous, lots of fun & have a very interesting, beautiful home to spend time in. Everything was clean and the house is set up well for any activity from working, cooking, reading to relaxing whilst listening to the many wonderful birds! I had such a great time, I loved being able to hop on a nearby train to zip into Girona or head in any direction for something fascinating to see or do close by. That said, the best experiences I had during my time here, were easily hanging out with Cleo! She is the most marvellous cat, fun, chatty, loving & playful. We both loved being outside together, bird watching or having some quality purring time with a brush. Sofa time was often lap time & if I spent too long at one of my screens, Cleo would visit for a chat & stroke, reminding me to move! Purrfect! Thank you all so very much for a great experience & all the awesome recommendations for gems to see & do. 😘
Gustavo and Nadia are great people and they have a delightful home in a very nice neighbourhood in Barcelona, very close to anything you want to visit in this beautiful city. Communication was great from start and they made us feel at home right away, and also left everything one can need (and more) for a comfortable staying. And Leia, the most wonderful cat in the world, was honestly a pleasure to take care of. She is incredibly lovely and affectionate, with a great and very funny personality, and both energetic and chill, depending on the time of the day. A truly great experience that we will always cherish and appreciate.
What a wonderful sit this was, we were so sad to leave! Ashley is so sweet and easy to communicate with, and was very thorough with her kitty care instructions. Their feeding routines were easy to follow, and we never had any issues with their "outdoor time" and getting them to come back inside the house when we needed them to. They're very food driven :)! All four cats are incredibly loving and affectionate as soon as they warm up to you (they will love sharing the bed with you!), and you can tell they are very well loved by their owners. I think the biggest job was to just make sure Vinney doesn't eat the remainder of the other cats' food since he's getting to be a big boy, and the others like to pick at theirs at a slower pace and come back later to finish. They also like to occasionally mark/spray the doorways to the outside due to all the street cats in the area roaming their "territory", so it's good to keep an eye out but easy to wipe and clean up when it happens. Anyway, we highly recommend this sit to all major cat lovers and snugglers! Thank you again for having us, Ashley and Lukas!
