The dogs are very sweet and have their own distinct and entertaining personalities. It was truly a pleasure spending time at Kelley’s beautiful home and the views are just fantastic. Highly recommended!
We recently enjoyed a week looking after Monty, Hamish, Mungo, Pasha and the chicken. Mike and Carole made us very welcome and I like to think we’ve made some new friends. We arrived a day early so we could meet everyone and learn their routine. We fell in love with all the animals, a real mixture of characters, and we loved taking them (dogs and cats together!) for a walk through the meadowland spotting wild orchids and other beautiful flowers, also exploring the woodland. They all responded to us beautifully and were so well behaved, it was an absolute delight. Happy to come back any time!
I was welcomed into Tish, Lincoln and Zephyr's home so warmly, with a thorough welcome guide and introduction to the area. On day one, we went for a walk around the park which sits directly opposite them, a perfect location with shops and cafes and everything you could possibly want just around the corner! Their home is beautiful, open, full of art and a particularly cosy front room where Zephyr and I spent most of our time while at home. Zephyr is just gorgeous! He has the classic lab temperament and loves cuddles, sticks, and playing fetch. We could've spent hours playing in that park, but sadly the evenings were getting darker earlier. Zephyr was great company and an absolute charmer. Great on the lead and very well trained which made taking him about the park easy. It was a pleasure being invited into their home to spend 2 weeks with Zephyr, I would 100% recommend anyone considering housesitting for Tish, Lincoln and Zephyr.
It will be quite difficult to top my sit for Leslie and Rick, I am so lucky they chose me to hang with Moo and Tye. They are a delightfully friendly couple, who immediately made me feel so welcome and comfortable in their lovely home in peaceful Azle. Upon arriving, I was treated to a thorough tour of the home, a pleasant Mexican dinner, addictive bakery treats, and even an introduction to the town, which all made me feel at ease and prepared for my stay. I still daydream about their gorgeous sun-filled kitchen and the amazing view of their beautiful backyard, full of colorful flowers and complete with a garden full of delicious veggies, which made tending to the landscaping so pleasurable during my 3-week stay. At night, it is dreamily lit by solar lights. Leslie was even so thoughtful to ask what food I may like to have, and stocked the refrigerator with my requests, and a few scrumptious surprises. The guest room has the most comfortable bed and I was so spoiled by the spa-like bath, packed with all the toiletries you'll ever need and an essential oil diffuser. Everything was unbelievably clean, organized and newly updated – you'll love all the little smart home touches that make this such a relaxing and easy stay. They even left out a bike and helmet if I wanted to go exploring. Leslie checked in periodically to make sure I was comfortable and her sister even reached out to ensure I was prepared for an impending storm. I was blown away by their kind and generous hospitality. Somehow, it gets even better... Moo and Tye are the most handsome cats I've ever seen, and I quickly fell in love with their distinct personalities. It was definitely the highlight of my stay to just observe them and their antics, which allowed me to obtain so much material for funny picture and video updates. Still, they are the most well-behaved boys I've sat for and very amenable to being loved on. They are quite determined to awake you for breakfast, which I came to appreciate. Moo is not shy about "asking" for attention and will settle in next to you for movie time. He also made it a habit to tuck himself in for an afternoon nap where I slept in the guest bed, which was so sweet. Tye will always let you know when it's outside time, I miss his cute impatient meows at the door while I grabbed my coffee. Good eaters, playful, inqusitive and quick to warm up, they were such a joy to care for. I loved this sit so much, and will be more than happy to return. If you happen to catch them before I do, you'll surely not be disappointed. Thanks so much Leslie and Rick for such an amazing experience.
What a pleasure it was to look after Tui and Dewi for a week while Amy, Rhys and the children were on holiday. Both dogs are lovely company and incredibly well trained, with excellent recall and social skills while out walking. We thoroughly enjoyed our daily walks with them, especially as the back garden gate opens out onto a woodland trail which connects to nearby open parkland – a perfect environment for the dogs. The house is in a pleasant, leafy suburb close to amenities including shops, cafes and the very decent Three Arches pub. Our 12-year-old son was also very grateful for having access to Disney+ and binging on Star Wars while cuddled up to the dogs in the evenings! A thoroughly recommended housesit.
Pepper was super mellow. She patiently waits for you during the day then she will really want to play with you in the evening. She knows which way she wants to go, so make sure to bring little snacks with you to guide her when needed. It was fun to spend time with her. Jenny & Brad were communicative and their place is close to the Lincoln park.
