Therese
I thoroughly enjoyed staying in Therese's beautiful home and having the handsome Mr T for company at the end of long coastal walks. The apartment is so elegant and spacious, with a serene atmosphere...a real haven/retreat, but ideally placed so centrally as a base for exploring this gorgeous part of the world. Tracker is such a handsome, relaxed chap, who let me know when he wanted cuddles (or more food!), but was generally very chilled. So chilled, in fact, that he was fine about me applying his toothpaste!
Communication with Therese was very straightforward, friendly and warm throughout & we quickly sorted out a little confusion over dates, so that we were all happy 😻

Chris and Alannah
We really enjoyed the days with Shadow, a young, cute, energetic, but well trained dog. Good weather the whole week made it easy to relax at their garden as well as exploring the beautiful trails around while walking Shadow. Alannah and Chris are absolutely adorable and we are more than happy to met such friendly people. They gave us perfect instructions in advance that made everything clear for us. We again say thank you for the great time we had at your place :-)

I had a lovely time at Jenny and Geoff's. The house was comfortable; a combination of modern and country cosy, with a large garden for Eddy to burn off some of her limitless energy in, and a perfectly sized pool (although it rained so much we only got in there once). The house is just a few minutes' drive from the lovely village of Steyning, with boutique shops, cafes and a farmers' market, and the starting point for many of Eddy's favourite walks up through the Downs. There are many more walks just a drive away, and my favourite was the Downs Link to Bramber, but also the Knepp Castle Estate with its free roaming deer, pigs and ponies (dogs must be on a lead). Eddy is just delightful, full of cheeky character and bundles of energy. She will sit patiently outside the back door with a ball or frisbee in her mouth, just waiting for you to play with her (note: she will wait you out!). Jenny and Geoff were the perfect sitter hosts, leaving a comprehensive folder with all the information one needs, but were also available on whatsapp should I have additional questions. I look forward to sitting for them again.

Tom and Anne
Taking care of Ned was the easiest thing. He'd come wake us up with 2 or 3 moews at around 6 in the morning, but then hd would settle to sleep with us until we did get up a few hours later. Then, he'd be gone for most of the day after we fed him and opened the trap, and when we'd come back to the house, most of the time, he'd come in at the same time as us to get fed. For the night, we just had to call him 1 or 2 times and he would come back about 15min after and we'd close the trap.
The house is full of trinkets, so you gotta be careful to not break anything, but other then that, it has everything you need (kitchen appliances, fast wifi, tv, etc.) and plenty of room. It's about 30min in public transport from downtown, which is great. We had an awesome time in Vancouver thanks to this lovely stay that we could'nt have afford otherwise! Oh, and Tom and Anne are really nice and they invited us one night ahead for dinner and to explain to us how all the things work :)

Josie is the SWEETEST little Muppet! We had an absolute blast staying with her in this lovely Queen Anne location. Karen was so friendly and easy to work with. Her home is beautiful and comfortable with awesome views of the city and Josie made us laugh non-stop. We are thrilled we got the opportunity to stay here and hope to do so again in the future! Thank you for letting us love on little Josie. ❤️

Belinda
1. Ruby jumps up on kitchen tables and eats anything you have there. She also jumps on sitting room tables to get to anything you might have there. Be careful. I wish Belinda had warned me.
2. Belinda’s home gets flooded when there is a lot of rain. She knows that because her home was flooded before but she told me the pump truck that sat for 36 hours in front of her home (with the driver sleeping in the truck) was there for her neighbor’s home. If I had known there was a possibility of flooding, I would not have stayed there and she knew it; that’s why she didn’t say anything even though she knew the forecast was rain for many days.
3. Belinda criticized me for not telling her the shower was broken but I used the bathtub - never touched the shower. She was so rude to me about it. She told me that I caused her trouble because she had to call a plumber so close to the time she’s having new year’s relatives.
 4. Speaking of trouble though. When Ruby jumped up on the kitchen table and ate most of my calcium chews, I had to take her to Brighton to the vet hospital and pay for the vet bill and Belinda gave me so much trouble paying me back, quite a ride. She complained that she had to pay me back at what it cost me to use my American credit card.
5. I had to purchase special food for the dog after the experience with the vet and there were not any thanks for it or any offer for reimbursement.

Belinda almost ruined my entire holiday but I was able to salvage a bit of fun time for myself. I treated the person who watched my cats so much better than she treated me. This was my first house sit and it’s left quite a bad taste in my mouth.
