Emmi kindly agreed to come the day before I left which was much appreciated and I was happy to pick her up from the train station. She was a lovely bubbly, friendly person, easy to have in my home. Emmi contacted me once when I was away with a picture of Alfie on a walk and on one other occasion to seek help with feeding Alfie as she had a personal appt that overlapped his evening meal time. I was happy to do this as had offered support like that from sister who lived nearby if she wanted to leave him for longer than the preferred 4-5 hours, something I offer to all my sitters so they can enjoy the local area. Unfortunately she did leave him for longer than I anticipated or my sister would have taken him to her house. I think Emmi struggled with planning ahead travel arrangements to and from Edinburgh perhaps not anticipating how long buses took, though trains half the time but don’t run after midnight. Alfie seemed relaxed around Emmi though I think his walking and feeding routine was not as he was accustomed to. I always tell sitters just to leave the bedding etc as I am happy to do all that when I get home preferring the attention to be on Alfie. Emmi left my home tidy though I would have preferred half eaten food to have been removed from the fridge and maybe the bathroom bin emptied Emmi seemed to have left her packing until the very last minute so was a bit rushed when I got home but we did make it to the train station in time for her onward journey

Taylor did such a wonderful job taking care of our dog, Korra, and housesitting for us! She is a very sweet person, and Korra absolutely loved her. Taylor also left our house very clean. We highly recommend her, and hope to have her back!

Adorable pets! Adorable wild life residents! All living in a historical, listed, and charming cottage that dates back to the 1600s. Everything you can possibly need is at hand and across the street. Lovely place for enjoying nice walks around the village and by the sea.

But the most important, the pets, are what I enjoyed the most. I love rabbits and cats. I love free birds and wildlife, and nature, and gardens. For me, this sit was paradise.

The rabbits Wuglet and Bumble are adorable and friendly, each with their distinctive personalities and character. They followed me to bed and spent the night with me in the room, in their favourite place by the door or close to the desk.

Don't pick them up. Rabbits don't like it and feel very unsafe and stressed when they are off the ground. Rabbits are delicate creatures and need attention, love and supervision. They like some petting, especially on their head, but only if they stay on the ground. You can sit on the floor and let them go around you and come to play with you if they are in the mood or you have some treats for them. Wuglet and Bumble love to eat from the garden all what they can take. They know what they like and it's good for their teeth. They also need their fresh hay everyday to keep their delicate digestive system and teeth healthy. This is very important for rabbits. Rabbits drink a lot of water and need their water to be fresh and clean and available at all times.

Thomas the cat is a delightful, friendly, and super chill cat. Unlike many other cats, Thomas loves some petting, especially when he comes to tell you it's time to feed him, which is every time he wants since he eats just a little at a time.
He is an adorable cat and a great communicator if you know how to listen to his vocalisations. Thomas loves to get attention as well and loves it when you talk to him.

Rabbits don't vocalise. But if you learn some basic rabbit behaviour (you can Google that) you can easily understand everything they do and when they are asking you for something.

The garden is gorgeous and is full of life. The Resident Robin is absolutely friendly and funny. She will come to eat and drink from her spacial place in the garden. She was also coming and flying in front of my face, asking for her food. So tiny and adorable!

Genevive the Magpie is very young and friendly. I interacted with Genevive just a little because someone else was looking after her elsewhere during my sit. She is a free bird used to being free in the house. Zoe rescued her when she fell from the nest when she was a baby.

Then there is the limping seagull who was also a rescue, and comes to eat when you come out with her food. I love seagulls as well.

It was so gratifying to see how nice all these creatures are, all the house pets and the resident wildlife in the garden, how trustful and friendly they are. I enjoyed my interaction with all of them so much.

Last but not least, Zoe is super friendly, the communication was always great. Meeting Zoe was a great experience for me. And looking after her pets and rescues was something I truly enjoyed and made me happy. It actually warmed up my heart.

Thank you to Zoe, Wuglet, Bumble, Thomas, Resident Robin, Limping Seagull, and Genevive for a great time sharing your lovely garden and your loving company. :)

Our stay with Monica and Sriram was super. The welcome was warm and we immediately felt at home. Together with our 2 teenagers we enjoyed wonderful walks in the area, enjoyed the company of McNulty. We are grateful and happy for the trust in each other and the beautiful time at this magnificent location.
The house is fantastic and the kids enjoyed using the kitchen resulting in all kinds of different delicious dishes. Thank you and have a great day.
