Doug and Allanah were terrific! This was my first time using Housesitters and they set a high bar. They took excellent care of my fur babies and sent me pics and gave me updates. They also left my house in perfect condition. I highly recommend them! They are experienced sitters that love what they do!
From reading the details about the sit to my first call with Chloe and then finally meeting Millie, this experience has been wonderful. Millie is a sweet, gentle girl and we were companions for a week. She was great and and off the lead and we were exploring the area where she lives. In the evening we sat together by the fire. Mornings were spent, with Millie, having breakfast on the beach. I felt quite sad to leave her. Chloe provided all the information that I needed about the house and the area and I enjoyed the house. It is cosy, comfortable and it has a lovely family feel. It feels like the house gives you a warm hug every time you arrive back. I hope that I return to spend time with Millie again in the future.
This was truly one of my favorite sits! Brian and Charles have a very warm and welcoming home. The house has all the amenities you could want. I had my own guest room and bath. Communication with them was easy throughout the entire process. Ollie and Gracie are both fabulous! Ollie loves to play fetch in the house, and he’s so cute to watch play it always made me smile! And Gracie is just the best. She’s so patient and loving. We would go for several walks a day around the neighborhood. It’s a great neighborhood to walk, everything is so close, and the pups will guide you to their favorite places. They both take meds, and Brian made it so easy – he prepared all the meds for the entire stay and had them all labeled with instructions. It goes without saying, Gracie and Ollie melted my heart. Brian and Charles are wonderful people, very generous with their time, kindness, and knowledge of the area. I had a great meal with them the evening before their departure, and I really enjoyed getting to know them better. I would highly recommend to any sitter to get to Cherry Creek and meet Gracie, Ollie, Brian, and Charles. Thank you, Brian and Charles, for such a wonderful stay! If the stars should align, I would not turn down an opportunity to see you all again!
Heather is amazing and Nellie is the sweetest curly pup ever! She has the best personality and I just loved all the adventures she took me on. The seaside walks were our favorite and eating on the prom was gorgeous. Home location was the perfect for short trips downtown and the bus system is great, with a stop a down the main road. Loved every day I had with Nellie and when I left, Heather and Nellie gave me a warm sendoff
We thoroughly enjoyed looking after Noelle's three rascals. Each have their own characters and all love cuddles human company. Noelle's home I spacious and has beautiful views over the village and countryside. Getting there was east and She helpfully ours her friend to meet us and do the introductions to the cats.We were supplied with lovely fresh vegetables so didn't need to do much shopping. France is a short walk away so we were able to take in two countries. This is definitely a sit we'd recommend and would love to return!
This was a fantastic sit. Katherine is a terrific communicator. We had a good interview call to make sure we were both comfortable - she clearly loves Archie so much. It made me feel really good before the sit even started. Then we exchanged daily messages during her trip. The house is in a great location - walking distance to restaurants and a couple of cute coffee shops. Also very close to a train that goes into downtown Philly and the Schuylkill River Trail which is pretty and good for walking/biking/running. Katherine let me use her garage. Saving the very best for last - Archie is adorable! He's a sweetheart - he lets you know when he needs something (and will try to convince you he always needs a treat). He spins like a top when he's excited, will help put his sweater and harness on, and even hops onto a step out of the way of the door when going in the house. He's a snuggler, likes belly rubs and is good on walks - which he likes to keep short. I learned that if he gets a little antsy while I'm working, moving his bed close to me or putting him on the guest bed where he could watch me helped. He was a little grumpy (relative to his very sweet disposition) the first day or so, so I gave him a little extra space and in no time he was laying on my lap asking me to rub his tummy. (Clearly, I can't say enough about him.)
This was a lovely sit in a nice family home. Jess was really clear about what I would expect in advance and Doug and Betty were both easy to look after and good fun. I was able to take Betty on both long and shortish walks without any difficulty and Jess was again very clear on how to manage her slight reluctance with both walkies and eating her food. She is a dog that needs a little bit of extra patience from the sitter. Doug on the other hand was like most cats, very self reliant and easy to sit for. I would really recommend the sit for anyone who wants the addition of spending time in central Bristol. It was a great home base and I was able to get a great feel for the local area and the wider city. 5 stars all round!! Rick 😊
