Dog Sitters in Shawnigan Lake

Michele was a super considerate sitter, who both our dog and cat took to immediately. She was very thorough in both understanding our home and how everything worked and what needed taking care of through the week, and also looking after both the pets wonderfully. A few days into the sit our cat made a bit of a mess through the house - which we were mortified to hear - but Michele took it entirely in her stride and put effort into ensuring everything was cleaned properly and that he was also okay and looked after. We returned home to a spotless house and a very happy doggo and cat. Would recommend Michele in a heartbeat. She kept us updated throughout, and took our dog on some fabulous adventures!

Gideon spent a lot of time with our two, active Australian Cattle dogs. He took them for several walks and jogs and played ball with them. He took the time to figure out their personalities. We could tell they were attached to him when we came home. He communicated throughout the stay and cleaned the house and my car even though we told him it wasn’t necessary. We highly recommend him, especially if your pets need a lot of exercise like ours.

Naomi is an absolute dream! I honestly could not have asked for more. She took the very best care of our kitty, who is usually shy and skittish with new people but bonded with her very quickly. She took such good care of our home and garden, and was a delight to communicate with. Oh, and she sent the most tender photo + video updates 😍 You will not find a better sitter!

Amy and Tifa were fantastic housesitters. They kept in contact with pictures throughout the summer and kept Hobbs safe when he found new inventive ways to escape. Our house was tidy and clean with clean sheets, flowers and a welcome home message upon our return. We would not hesitate to recommend, nor have Amy and Tifa housesit again. Our neighbours even commented on how quiet they were and how lovely it was to hear their music in the evenings.

John and Barbara were a delight to have take care of our dogs and house. If there were more stars I would have given them! They are perfectionist with taking care of the house and dogs. Wyatt our shy and anxious golden doodle puppy warmed up to them. The dogs were extremely calm and happy when we got back from our trip. The house looked better than ever! They are detail oriented so everything was perfect. We would be delighted if they watched our motley crew again. You would be lucky to have them as house or dog sitters!

I would definitely recommend Carmelle (and her boyfriend was fantastic Nani loved him!). Communication was great. We stayed in touch and the animals were happy when I returned home. The space was clean and peaceful. Thank you Carmelle! I appreciated your assist on my travels.

We were extremely lucky to have Jean Ann and Monika watch our dog during an especially difficult time for us. They were compassionate and flexible, and regularly sent photos of our pup. She clearly bonded with them in less than 2 weeks. They left the house very clean and even left dinner for us. We enjoyed getting to know them and would love to have them stay again.

I felt so settled knowing Lindsay was taking care of Banks. It was apparent she has a deep love and connection with cats and this was exactly the person I wanted for him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Chantelle & Jack are a lovely couple who took wonderful care of our furry friends. They were reliable & self-sufficient and went out of their way to help. Would recommend them as sitters for your home & pets!

We really couldn’t have wished for better housesitters than Laurel and Edward. Super-organised and reliable, they provided outstanding care for our cat, quickly building trust with him and sending us regular updates, photos and videos of him, which was appreciated very much. They really got to know the local area too, exploring many of the bastide towns and antique markets nearby. While we were away, Edward fixed an issue with our WiFi and on our return, they provided us with a splendid lunch and we remarked that our house has never looked so good! Our thanks to both for being such amazing carers for Tariq, who we are convinced would have gone home with them if the opportunity had arisen! We are hoping that Laurel and Edward will be around when we need to go away in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Well, suffice to say...Miss Abby wasn't as excited as usual to see us upon our return! I think she would glad have Jo move in permanently. Jo gave timely updates and sent some pretty sweet pictures. She cared for and loved Abby as we would. Our home was left immaculate and neighbors who met Jo were smitten with her...great person..great petsitter! Awesome housesitter! Thanks Jo❤

Samantha was a treasure. She looked after our pets and home with enthusiasm. Our two dogs were well looked after and our home was clean and tidy on our return. We highly recommend Samantha as a house/pet sitter.
