Where do we begin with such a lovely time?

Cyndi, her home, and all her animals were truly a delight. Cyndi was so caring, communicative, welcoming, and warm. We had the easiest time getting in contact if we ever needed anything.

Firstly, Cyndi's animals are a treasure. Sadie is such a sweet dog and we had so much fun taking her on walks, playing catch down by the river, her adorable demeanor, and neverending love for treats; she brought so many smiles to our faces and made us laugh often. Ziggy is the dream of cats: loving, snuggly, independent, and fun. His cat tree is where he likes to hang out most of the time, just smiling, looking out the window. Cyndi also has chickens and toulouse geese. The fresh eggs were such a treat! It was our first experience with chickens and geese, and we loved it!

Cyndi's home is so incredibly cozy. We got to stay in her upstairs studio, with views of Mt Adams, the sound of rain on the roof, and the coziest bed! We felt right at home.

We were very sad to leave, and we look forward to having the privilege of sitting for them again! Thanks Cyndi for an incredible stay!

Vesper is a dream dog for a sitter. Being a retired guide dog, he has a calm demeanor and doesn’t get distracted. On walks, he’s very friendly with both dogs and people. He’s well behaved off-lead (aka off-leash), and he definitely makes outings easy for a walker.

In the house, Vesper hung out with me most of the time. Nice to have a couch buddy while working. He has an adorable habit of carrying shoes around the house. But he doesn’t chew on them! He just holds them softly in his mouth. Must be his golden retriever genes.

After this sit, I feel that I have now experienced an exceptional example of “the English countryside”. Vesper’s home is set amidst hundreds of acres of parks and forest. A vast network of paths enabled us to take a different walk every day for two weeks. The land all around is well maintained: paths are clear and trails are well marked. I loved how quiet it was there.

It was easy to walk into the town of Rubery for food. It has a couple grocery stores and several places to eat, including an excellent Indian restaurant. I recommend The Market Garden for produce and savory pastries.

Denise kindly picked me up at the train station and gave me a tour of the neighborhood and nearby villages. Their home is absolutely stunning. My jaw dropped when I walked into the big open kitchen and living room. It has an amazing view of the countryside and across the valley. I watched several gorgeous sunsets through the two-story glass wall.

My thanks to Denise for making me feel so welcome in her home. I feel very grateful for this sit, and it was truly an experience I will never forget.

We looked after Dylan for 5 days including a sunny bank holiday weekend. He is a fabulous dog who walks for miles quite happily both on and off the lead. We found lots of walks straight from the house and enjoyed Dylan's company tremendously. Dylan is quite the celebrity in Lyme and we lost count the number of people who stopped to speak with him!!!
Dylan is such a gentle boy. He has a great character and you can't help but fall in love with him! He is very easy to look after and happily goes in cafes and shops and doesn't really bother about other dogs. He is also quite partial to stopping off for a drink and a packet of cheddars in the pub!!
Ragnhild and Marc were great hosts and took us on a lovely walk before they left showing us the area. They left an excellent guide about Dylan and the house covering everything you may wish to know. The house is beautiful and immaculate. Highly recommend.
This was a first class dog sit with a first class dog!

It was a pleasure meeting Kendra and Clarence and caring for Lulu and Loki at their very comfortable home. It was a short stay but they were very welcoming and provided everything I needed for a stress free stay. The kitties were lots of fun and would remind me to let them out into the enclosed catio. All pets were easy to care for including the fish. I brought my canoe and was able to enjoy a paddle on nearby Whitson Lake and even had a swim. I would recommend this sit and hope to return again.

Thank you Jos & Yannick for trusting us to look after Gateau and your beautiful home!

Gateau is a little cutie, with such a big fun personality, and we miss her lots already. She stood back and watched when we first got there, but very quickly became good friends. She has such a good nature, and we had lots of fun playing with her

The house is in a perfect location in Gorinchem, which we never would have come across had we not done this house sit, and we are so glad we did - it has been one of our favourite towns in the Netherlands, filled with so much character and history, and the house is in such a perfect location to explore it.

It is a very comfortable home, with the guest bedroom looking out over the canal, and all recently renovated. The deck out the back is great to sit and enjoy the sun, and despite being in town it is very quiet.

Communication couldn't have been easier, we had clear instructions, and regularly messaged on Whatsapp. Both Jos and Yannick were very welcoming, great to talk to, and made us feel comfortable. Finally, we really enjoyed our chats with Edith who works downstairs, and has lots of local knowledge.

A perfect housesit which we would recommend to anyone, and hopefully we'll be back again in the future! Thank you and all the best.

I had an amazing time with the three dogs. They are adorable pets and always want to be at your side but without bothering, they are very easy to treat. The house is in a perfect spot and has all the facilities to make your stay better. The family always makes me feel welcome, and it was good to share some time with them also. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who is reading this review.
