Sweet Pepper is very contented to not be bothered. She seems glad to retreat for the most part and when feeling bold you might hear her sprinting through the home for a mini-workout. If you’re visiting in the winter, throw an extra log on the fire and enjoy insta-spa in the living room. The view of the grounds leading to the Charles is utterly breathtaking. Enjoy the expansive vista as you do your morning yoga or Tai Chi practice. In the summer, jump into the large in-ground swimming pool or kayak down stream.
A lovely peaceful place to housesit with an adorable cat to keep you company! Lynette and David were very welcoming and had lunch ready for me when I arrived which was very kind of them. Instructions were clear and Lynette ran through everything with me to ensure I had a trouble free stay. Russell Island was the perfect place for me to spend a couple of relaxing weeks! Mi estancia en Madrid con Chimi y Mancha, los gatitos de Leonela y Tom, fue muy buena. Me encontré con ellos poco antes de su viaje para recoger las llaves y conocer los detalles de la casa. Fueron muy amables y tenÃan todo preparado para mi llegada. La comunicación fue excelente en todo momento: antes, durante y después del housesit (Leonela incluso me avisó de que me habÃa dejado atrás un adaptador y se ofreció a enviármelo). El piso, aunque pequeño, tiene todas las dependencias separadas: cocina, baño, sala de estar, su dormitorio y el otro en el que yo me alojé, que también tiene mesa para trabajar. Y se trabaja bien porque es silencioso y tranquilo. Además, los gatitos son muy fáciles. Mancha es más tÃmida, pero también le acabas cogiendo cariño. Chimi es un gatito curioso y coge confianza pronto. Cuando les das un snack tienes que tener cuidado de que Chimi no se coma la parte de Mancha. Ella se enfada con él cuando intenta hacer eso. El piso está muy bien situado con respecto al centro de Madrid: a media hora andando estás en la plaza Mayor. Y tienes un gran parque, Casa de Campo, al lado. Además, a unos pocos metros en la misma calle, hay un supermercado DÃa. RepetirÃa.

Shannon has a lovely place in DC, and Olive is an adorable, very sweet and easy dog to look after. The place is conveniently located to attractions, museums, markets, bars, restaurants and we found it incredibly easy to get around. Lime bikes, buses and the train are all super easy to get from right be their place. Olive was super easy to take care of, she was very loving, and we spent lots of time outside with her, exploring markets and the like. As she's an old dog, she would spend her time inside either asking for belly rubs or sleeping. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better time and we would recommend Shannon, Olive and they're lovely home to anyone wanting to spend some time in DC!
Sometimes words can’t seem to capture quite right the experience you have. And this is one of those times. I only hope that my effort to capture it comes across with this review. Let’s start with Riffi and Rick. They are extremely kind, conscious, and considerate! From the moment I was selected for the sit, Riffi took such thoughtful measures to ensure I would be comfortable during my stay. She was so attentive to my needs before, during and after the sit. By the time I arrived I felt like I was arriving to a community as I got to connect (via text) with neighbors. The Welcome Guide was thorough and communication was excellent. I also appreciated the humor Riffi expressed when I would send a fun picture of Cosmo. Their home is beautiful and they both made me feel so welcomed! The area is quite and relaxing. Walking distance to yummy restaurants and treats. But even more memorable was drinking tea while enjoying the sunshine in their backyard or kitchen table or cooking the yummy treats from their purchase of Imperfect Foods. Last but certainly not least was my special time with Cosmo. He stole my heart! It may have been his tender paw taps in the morning, or his hugs while he napped on my lap, or his willingness to take a funny picture with me to send to Riffi and Rick. He brought me such joy and laughter and I truly enjoyed my time with him. It was certainly hard to say good bye to him. I was so fortunate to have been selected to care for Cosmo and I hope I can come back again!!
