Scott and Rafael were amazing sitters! They sent updates regarding the house and our dog, and they always responded in a timely manner. We had a long travel day coming back home and when we arrived, we saw our house was left very clean, they wrote us lovely handwritten notes, and left flowers in the vase. We could tell our pup had a great time with then and he was very well taken care of. Scott and Rafael are welcome back anytime!
Gerry and Anita are marvelous folks to house-sit for! I had the pleasure of meeting them both online and in person before they travelled, and one instantly feels thrilled to care for the home and puppy of such a joyous and kind couple. As attentive dog owners, they like to keep in touch throughout your stay, which is great because it kept a comfortable line of communication open for updates. Even when an unforeseen health challenge arose for Odie (a minor and fleeting foot challenge- don't worry for Odie folks!), they remained calm, and kind, and problem-solving focused throughout the medical consideration process and results. I can therefore say for a fact that they bring their best selves to every exchange and they are fabulous folks indeed! Their dog Odie is the sweetest, well-trained ,and friendly fellow you will meet! He is such a wonderful gentle giant (and even the neighbors said so when we met on our walks). Odie loves to run through snow, explore the woods, and meet the neighbours and other dogs, but he will instantly stop and come if you ask him to. He also enjoys snuggling in the evenings, treats, being brushed, and getting good belly rubs. He is such a sweetie and you will love spending time with him! Their gorgeous home is in a beautiful area just outside the main cities, so with your car you are close enough to feel social if you like, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet that their home and surrounding woods offers you on a daily basis. It is a pure delight to care for Odie and the home of this charming family. If given the opportunity, you should absolutely say yes to coming here! 100% - they deserve 5 stars!
This house was a fabulous stay and the pups were sweet, welcoming and easy to spend a few weeks with!
Oh where do I begin! Durango is such a sweet pup🥰 It took about a day for him to warm up to me but once he did he was so loving. He really likes to cuddle with you and LOVES to be petted. If you stop he will make sure you continue😆When he's comfortable with you he'll definitely let you know of what he needs. He is so cute:) I hated leaving him. If I lived closer I may visit him regularly if Carrie and Kyle allow me to do that lol. Carrie and Kyle's home is beautiful and had someone come in to clean the house while I was staying. I work remotely and surprisingly I got a lot more work done at their place than my own haha. They were so nice and welcoming. It was an excellent stay, not to mention a chance to hang out with sweet Durango♥️I would recommend anyone to sit for their house and Durango👍🏼
Left Cleo’s home only yesterday and we already miss Our beautiful time there. The house is such a beautiful and very spacious family home with everything and more of what we needed ! We spent some lovely time there. Maple and Dumpling are so lovely. I guess after spending such a long time it’s normal to feel such a strong love for them. Dumpling 🐱 was quite reserved first days and coming only at meals time ahaha, she then started warming up and feeling more comfortable so we had some lovely cuddles together. Maple 🐶is just the dream dog ! I personally built a special connection with her. She is the sweetest and more gentle dog I ever met and take care for . So well behaved at home and she will just rest either in her bed or near you in the sofa. At the park she get some excited for her ball ❤️ it’s really enjoyable to play with her and we both had great walks at the park . We are so looking forward to be back in August !!!
What a lovely house with a great garden. A lot of space en perfectie clean. Viv the dog, is shy and it took about a day for her to trust us. But she is kind and smart. She loves to go into the garden at leest when it's nice weather. On cold days she rather is inside near the woodburner, Ozzy the cat is oké when you pet her, but not a real cuddler. Lara and Wim are very kind people. If you have experinece and patience with dogs, then you will have a wonderwel time here.
