Dog Sitters in Sherrington

Stuart was good with our dogs, they were happy with him and definitely not stressed while we were away. Good communication throughout. He and Dom made a great job of our garden which was definitely a bonus for us. Having 2 sitters not as a couple did cause us a few logistical problems with sleeping arrangements but it seemed to work Ok. The boys were not intrusive and made some lovely smells from the kitchen area. The absolute importance for us was the welfare of our dogs and they were looked after wonderfully. Both were widely travelled which made for interesting conversations.

Gregory

Molli and Tim were great. Really appreciated their communication and they're both warm and kind people. We felt safe knowing they were there to take care of our animals. We have invited them back for a longer stay next month.

Tasha

Megan was communicative, kind, and very tidy. It was so nice to come home to a happy pup and a clean home after a long trip.

Takako

Terry was a dog lover. Always glued to us, he worked really well and it was so pleasant to spend this stay with him.
Thank you Takako for these 5 weeks. It helped us a lot in Perth. I hope Terry is feeling better and that he's happy to see you again.

Hattie

This was our first sit, and wow what an experience. Myself, husband and two daughters completed the sit and we felt very much welcomed, and settled in very quickly. Hattie provided us with typed up information about the animals, emergency contacts, local area and their home....this was so useful and we called it the bible as we referred to it lots during the stay. 

Hattie and her family welcomed us and Hattie was very specific and thorough with the processes for the animals which helped us to keep to their regular routine. 

Their house is beautiful. We felt very lucky to wake up to such amazing views each morning. The house is very well organised and has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. We even baked 2 cakes, thanks to the amazing chicken eggs we collected each day.  Each room was clean and tidy and clean bedding was left for us all. The garden and surrounding areas are just wonderful. We fully immersed ourselves into the local towns Odiham and Alton and found some lovely local walks shops and cafes. 

Now to the animals.....Phala and Pudi the amazing dogs adapted very quickly to our presence. Phala, slwho was the boldest of the two was very quick to happily accept us, and this gave Pudi confidence and after a few days both girls were wonderfully happy. They are both amazingly sweet, very well trained and just love running, playing, relaxing in the sun and sitting by you getting a stroke. They were amazingly responsive to commands, a pleasure to spend time with. 

Pula, Tlou and Nemo are the families 3 cats. Nemo was the most shy and it took him a little longer to come and get stroked and purr on our laps. Tlou and Pula are very sweet, and let you know when they wanted some attention which my girls were delighted about. 

The family also have 3 tortoises. Titi the largest of the 3 has such a cheeky character, was very good at letting us know he wanted more food, and absolutely loved dandelions!! We bathed them 3 times a week which they seemed to like and the cage was watered daily. 

We also looked after their 5 chickens. These were full of charachter and they looked forward to our visits twice a day. They all had different personalities and were very sweet. 

The family also have horses and cows in the fields next to the garden. Although we weren't responsible for looking after them, people did attend daily and weekly and deal with them. It was handy to have their contacts (in the bible) as one of the horses got a poorly eye. I was happy to liaise with the equestrian vet and the eye problem was sorted very quickly and efficiently. 

The house is amongst the most beautiful countryside, so it does mean that you need a car to get around really. There is ample parking, but it is a little walk for the car to the house so worth baring in mind if you have mobility issues. 

Hattie was so very responsive whilst away. Anything that cropped up she was efficient and contactable throughout. 

Thank you Hattie and family for sharing you wonderful home and amazing animals with us. We had a fantastic time and would love to return.
