I want to give the biggest thank you and ovation for Cheryl & Joe! They opened their home and hearts to us! This was both parties first experience with THS, needless to say we were a little anxious. I am so happy to say that Cheryl and Joe made this the most seamless process and we had an excellent sit thanks to their kindness and communication. Lucy and Poppy were our first pups and they will always hold a special place in our hearts. They are really great dogs and have unique personalities that are sure to melt your heart. I cannot recommend Cheryl, Joe, Poppy, and Lucy enough!
What a wonderful house sit! Initially I was worried about having to take care of an elderly dog with medical issues, but I was immediately put at ease. Susan walked me through the medication and routine and was readily available if I had any questions or concerns. Upon meeting the little old man, I instantly fell in love and knew it was something I could take on and handle. And I'm so glad I did. I absolutely fell in love with Shakar, the old little man that still acts like a puppy, and Hokis, his younger sister who became my instant shadow. They were such great company and taking care of them was a breeze - I never wanted to leave their side. I loved spending my days at the pool lounging with them or setting up doggie playdates with neighbors, and my evenings walking around the peaceful neighborhood catching the sunset. I was very sad leaving them and cannot wait to return.
We were all so excited when Ava & John let us know that we were chosen to house sit!! When we arrived; the house and location are fantastic. It was like walking into a storybook setting. All of the house and animal instructions were written down which was extremely helpful. We were able to refer to them anytime during the stay. Burrito (donkey) with Dulce (dog) was our favorite at first, however, by the end, we had nicknames for all the animals. We hiked and skied at a nearby mountain. They were even kind enough to have a neighbor feed the animals one night so we could spend a weekend at the hill. At night we were able to enjoy the hot tub, and the stars are unbelievable especially if you are coming from a city. At the end of the stay, we felt like ranch pros. Ava was kind enough to have a meal ready for us since we had hit a bad storm on our way from Pittsburgh, they some of the kindest and most exciting people we have met and wish we could have had more time getting to know them. Besos to all the animals!
We loved our stay at Graham’s! Petra, Belle and Jessie were lots of fun to look after and we enjoyed our morning and evening adventures to the park. The fish were easy to care for and clear instructions were left for us. Graham and Andrew were great hosts and we would happily come back in the future!
I absolutely loved this sit. Rona, Poppy, and Aura are the sweetest, gentlest dogs to have around you. They love sitting in your lap and showing you their toys. The walks around the local area are just beautiful. The cat Oscar even made an appearance - he has a very soft, beautiful coat and is happy to be patted. The neighbours are friendly and always around if you need to contact someone about anything. I really enjoyed my time here!
Ashley’s home was cozy, clean and well prepped for my stay. Her dogs/ cats were a genuine pleasure to care for. I thoroughly enjoyed myself! 7 animals may seem like a bit much, but this crew was absolutely heavenly to spend the weekend with. Will come back anytime! Thanks Ashley!!
