Kay recently stayed to take care of our menagerie (cats, fish, chickens and goats) over the New Year holiday while we traveled to Spain to see family. She was very comfortable with our cats, but had never taken care of goats before and was eager to learn. Kay was very friendly and kept the house super clean - we came home to a house better than we left it! She provided updates to us while we were overseas, with photos that helped us know that our loved pets were well taken care of in our absence. The only hiccup we had with Kay was due to a miscommunication in the beginning of the stay around her date/time of arrival. We thought that she would arrive the morning of our departure so that we could show her around the property, walk her through taking care of the goats, etc. We thought we had made it clear that this was important to us, mainly because Kay wasn't super familiar with goats, and we wanted to make sure she knew everything and felt comfortable. Also, we have always met our pet-sitters in person before we've flown off, so we assumed that we would do that with Kay as well. Unfortunately, the night before, Kay (assuming it was fine) let me know that she wouldn't arrive until after we had already left for the airport. This alarmed us since we hadn't been able to do the walk-through or get to know Kay in-person (we had met over Zoom prior). After texting back and forth, we got on the phone and were able to clear things up, which I appreciated. We ended up doing a live video walkthrough, which sufficed. We left confident that Kay knew our animal's routine and would know what to do. It wasn't our first choice, but it worked out fine. Lesson learned to be super clear about expectations! Outside of that, all went really well. Kay maintained contact and let us know regularly how everyone was doing. On our return trip Kay had to leave before we got home from the airport, which was unfortunate because we had a nice text rapport going and we would have loved to have met her in-person. The house was immaculate when we got home, and our animals all fine. Thank you Kay for taking care of our home and menagerie while we were away!
Sandra was a wonderful Housesitter during our ten days away. She took great care of our menagerie of pets, including our high-energy GSP dog, six chickens, and some newly adopted kittens. Our large vegetable garden and houseplants thrived under her care. And she was highly communicative, attentive, clean, and considerate throughout the stay. We would definitely welcome her back and highly recommend Sandra as a zeewoi to others in the future.
We're so happy we found Tabi! It was a rather short notice agreement, but Tabi was super flexible, and aaaaall good vibes from the very first moment, on pur video call that confirmed her as the perfect match, and when we met her the day we left. What we loved most about her was that she was all over our kittens - we didn't see her anymore on our return, and first thing we did was checking if she didn't pack them ;) No, but seriously, we got so many wonderful photos and updates, and Mooncake and Zucchini were so relaxed you barely could tell we had been away. Same goes for our house, which she left spotless. We're so glad that you got your kitty-fix dear Tabi, would be happy to connect again in the future if the the opportunity arises!
