Heidi looked after Manu and our place for 10 days and I came back to a very happy cat and the place was immaculate. Moreover, she was kind enough to leave very cute presents behind!! I would highly recommend Heidi, she is trustworthy and reliable. She sent great updates, showing how happy Manu was around her. Manu is a very social and cuddling cat but can be very sensitive to change, so I really appreciate seeing him so calm and happy after spending a few days with Heidi. Thanks again, Heidi.
I sat for Julie's pet family, Drake the dog is a delightful dog, is empathetic, calm, soft and very loving. He is very well behaved, Drake will want to be around you, sit with and partly on you at times. Loves his ball. He is a rescue and it is important to give him positive reassurance. Two walks a day, he responds to gentle reminders if he over enthusiastically pulls, I found distraction worked with anything that caught his eye. Ritchard the cat companion is boss he sleeps, pops out, sleeps, eats. He says hello, is friendly and winds his way around you, rubs his head against you purring, you can fuss me now and is quick to say that is enough with an unexpected very light nip or bat with his paw. Drake and Ritchard are both loved, healthy pets and I enjoyed looking after them. The house is 10 minutes walk from Warwick centre and Warwick castle, Leamington Spa is not far either.
We had an amazing sit with Nala and Maxx, both fun to have around though with very different personalities! Nala is sweet, gentle and quick to cuddle. Maxx isn’t a cuddler at first but comes around, and is a hoot with his kitten-like disposition. We enjoyed our time with both of them. Nala was on medication while we were there and was very cooperative in taking it. Winslow and Charles were very gracious hosts. Their home was clean and comfortable in a lovely neighborhood, and they made plenty of room available for our clothes etc. Our communication was excellent, and they arranged for us to have their pass to the NC Arboretum as well as their excellent reserved seats at a local non-profit theatre! They also fed us a nice dinner and left us some food as well as some space for our own. We highly recommend the sit and would love to come back.
This pet/house sit for The Stay Family was BEYOND 5 STARS!!!! The Stay Family is inspiring and so is the pet family. Sitting for Noda 3y/o love bug pug and Weiss the 9y/o Boxer mix , Shadow the weeks old rescue kitty ( oh fer cute) their 30 chickens and 10 piglets was a dream sit. All of the animals were really easy to take care of!!! A lot of FUN too! The Stays were gracious and organized hosts. Leaving specific instructions for everything and meeting us for an informative walk through the day before they left. They also invited us to spend the night before they left It was tempting but we chose to camp near Honeymoon Island to catch a Gulf Coast sunset. Their home is just beautiful and comfortable and I loved using the well equipped workout room, infrared sauna and pool. We loved walking the dogs in the beautiful neighborhood of Dunedin. Feeding the chickens and the piglets was a hoot! We also scored fresh egg scrambles many mornings. We weee able to explore this outstanding Gulf Coast city, riding bicycles on The Pinellas Trail, took a 15 minute ferry ride to Caledisi Island; voted #1 ecological beach in America and went to the farmers market in Downtown Dunedin and ate out once at a great fresh and upbeat Mexican restaurant Casa Tina. The Stays were considerate and actually found housing for the new kitty with a neighbor for our first few days. Shadow was dropped off with us on our last day and we wish we would have had her the entire stay. I could go on and on with nothing but accolades for this sit but be assured if you get to sit here consider yourself blessed. Thank you STAY FAMILY<3 Gratefully, Lola & Matt ( I hope we meet again)
It is not difficult to see why this is such a popular sit – earlier reviews say it all. Serenity Point lives up to its name, and even when the wind whips up whitecaps and raindrops appear the magnificent location remains just that - serene. The house exudes warmth and comfort as well as being functional and is a truly magnificent Pacific Northwest home. For nature lovers this sit presents a golden opportunity to see Bald Eagles fly by almost at eye level atop the rocky bluff, along with Canada geese, turkey vultures, ravens and oyster catchers on the rocks below. A family of river otters scampered among the driftwood on the beach and – on one occasion – scrambled up the cliff and appeared in front of the deck. Not really sure who was most surprised. Although we did not meet Thomas in person we became ‘acquainted’ on Zoom before our sit, which is a helpful medium for introductions. Prior to our arrival Johanna had prepared a thorough and detailed Welcome Guide containing all the information needed, which proved invaluable not only as a quick reference but also as a pre-sit read in case there were any questions. She kept in touch about potential contractors coming and anticipated deliveries, so there were no unexpected surprises. Not only is Johanna well-organized she is also a gracious and considerate host, inviting us to meet the friendly neighbors over a delicious meal while Kono positioned herself strategically under the table. She is a sweet, gentle dog and loves her walks, albeit she has a mind of her own sometimes on the return journey. Unlike a horse that wants to get back to the barn Kono may decide she wants to stop and meditate, but with a little persuasion eventually accepts there really is no place like home… Thank you, Johanna and Thomas – we look forward to seeing you and Kono again before too long.
We recently had the pleasure of housesitting for Melanie and our experience was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, making us feel right at home. The house itself, a huge apartment in an old monastery, is an absolute gem, nestled in a picturesque location and only 15 driving minutes away from Florence. The interior is really beautiful, which exuded a sense of comfort and style. And … we fell in love with our green ensuite guestroom. Our furry companions during this housesit were Dachshund Taz and Italian natured Tulah. These 2 doggies quickly stole our hearts and loved our attention. We made nice long walks in the surrounding Tuscan hills and were delighted to provide them with love and care during our stay. Communication with Melanie was excellent throughout our housesit. She provided us with clear instructions, making our responsibilities a breeze to manage. It was evident that she genuinely cared about our well-being and ensured we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We would like to thank Melanie for entrusting us with her beautiful home and cherished pets. It was an unforgettable experience that we will treasure. We wholeheartedly recommend this housesit to fellow adventurers.
I had a wonderful time at Heg and Julu’s, they were really kind and welcoming. They left clear instructions about how to look after the pets and other useful info, and were quick to respond to messages when I had questions. The animals are all so sweet and affectionate, it was such a pleasure to spend time with them. The cottage is lovely with loads of character and there are beautiful walks nearby. It’s an easy walk into town with lots to see and do. Thank you Heg and Julu!
