Samuel

Tracy and Dan were top-notch sitters. They were easy to work with and clear communicators Tracy provided regular updates in the manner that I described. They were very comforting and helpful. They also left the apartment spotless. As Tracy mentioned in her review, kermit requires pilling that can sometimes be modestly challenging. I always got the sense that her and Dan took caring for the cats very seriously and had confidence that Kermit would always get the attention and care he needed. In addition to being good housesitters, the care and compassion they had for animals came through loud and clear. I really hope I have a chance to host them again!

Sandy

Isabel was super in every way! Our elder cat clearly loved her by the pictures she sent of him snuggling with her, and he was totally relaxed upon our return. Isabel communicated clearly and was proactive about a couple small things in the house that needed attention while we were away. I would recommend her absolutely 100%.

Nicki

Sonya and Paul were the most caring and lovely house-sitters ever. This was my first experience on zeewoi and wow, I couldn't have been luckier. Since they came to house sit last year, we've been in regular contact. I have tried on several occasions to get them to house sit for me again - just because I felt so relaxed and safe with both of them - but Sonya and Paul are popular! :) If you want someone really loving and caring, reach out to these guys. You won't regret it!

Samara

Samara and Yotam are extremely  accommodating hosts! I was invited out a day early and enjoyed a tour of their home, an in-person review of the Welcome Guide and instructions on caring for their pets, a ride along tour of popular nearby shopping destinations (a car is recommended to reach many, but public transit is available), and a nice pizza night with their family, who were all very kind-hearted. Also, Samara was very responsive and communicated well, throughout the sit. 

Their home is very beautiful and perfectly designed for a family, and in a nice, safe, and quiet neighborhood. Their home also had tons of children’s toys, books, and educational activities available to entertain my 4 year old son. He really enjoyed doing science experiments, playing the piano or drums, and jumping on the trampoline! Samara and Yotam have cleaners come out once a week (on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday morning - depending on their availability), which is convenient having help keeping the home straightened up. I will admit that the cleaners don’t do any laundry and several of the sheets, towels, and bath mats were stained or required a deeper washing (nothing extremely gross, I am just particularly clean), so I purchased a set of sheets and a set of towels from Sam’s Club and ran the bath mats through the washer. I felt comfortable in their home. 

Caring for Henry and Rachel was very straightforward. Henry takes a daily pill, without any issues or need for a pill pocket or any other method of concealing the pill. He is a bit more reserved and often rested around in his favorite lounging spots. Occasionally, something outside (like birds, neighbors, etc.) would trigger a barking fit, but most of the time he’s very reserved. Rachel is more social and prefers constant companionship. She’d regularly hang out with me in the office when I worked, lay in the chair next to me when we watched TV, and sit under the table as I ate. She’s such a cute little shadow. Both dogs are very well behaved and got along well with my young son and the occasional stranger wanting to pet them. We often took the dogs to parks and on public outings (Pima Air & Space Musuem and Tucson Botanical Gardens - both have numerous water stations for the dogs) and never had any behavioral issues. 

The Koi fish were easy to care for until 9 fish passed away less than 1 week before the end of the sit. It was sudden and I have no definitive cause for their death, however after doing some research assumed that the preexisting algae bloom drastically reduced their oxygen levels. Samara stayed in constant contact with me during the entire ordeal and was very supportive and apologetic. She even attempted to have a professional come out to treat the pond. Eventually, her mother arrived to treat the pond and the daily fish deaths halted. Samara stated that this had never happened before, still I wish that I had been more proactive with ensuring I had the necessary chemicals and tools to treat the pond and save more Koi fish. 

I must also mention the Tucson weather, which was hotter than usual, yet bearable.  Samara and Yotam’s home has tons of natural lighting and still their home stays cool all day. The City of Tucson also has various FREE public swimming pools and splash pads. Many locals prefer to just stay inside during the day, so popular destinations like the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and Reid Park Zoo also offer extended evening hours, for beating the heat. My son and I endured the heat on several occasions and had wonderful experiences. Just make sure to dress in cool clothing and bring a stainless steel water bottle.
