Stan and Natasha made a number of ore sit visits to acquaint themselves with the house and our pack before their sit. They did this whenever they had a sit nearby. We looked after my partner Sharon’s dog as well (mini labradoodle Floyd) . We haven’t left Floyd with sitters before because we felt 4 dogs were too much and Floyd hasn’t got the recall of the shepherds and can be quite stubborn staring at you before deciding whether to obey or not! However he is a lovable cheeky chappie and very much a part of our pack. Stan and Natasha arrived on time and took notes about their routine and followed these - but also improvising when necessary. The house was clean tidy and organised after our two week absence despite 3 moulting shepherds and some inclement weather. They were both pretty quick to size up what was wrong when one of our pack exhibited stomach problems and were able to take speedy ameliorative action. There is a lot of quite exceptional comment I make about Stan and Natasha’s care of our dogs. Firstly - they groomed them every couple of days - this helped with a quick bonding and helped the pack to relax into S and N’s stay. They provided daily photos and videos of the walks they went on and it very quickly became apparent that the pack were having a whale of a time. It was also apparent in the house that they were very chilled - even more so than with us! Stan revealed he had brought his Alexa with him and instructed it to play “ calming music for dogs” when they were out. The dogs clearly loved this and we have now purchased our own Alexa to carry on this benefit. Aslan can be an aloof creature with new people - but not with Stan and Natasha - he clearly loved them and particularly bonded with Natasha - giving her gentle kisses. Cairnie bonded with Stan and we believe he is missing Stan at present. Bonnie took longer to overcome her reticence but by the end of the first week was clearly on full form - chattering away gleefully. Floyd ( who is an expert at ingratiating himself) was clearly wowed by their presence and approach. In sum - Stan and Natasha were clean, tidy, kept us very well informed but most of all the pack absolutely adored them. Shepherds are no mugs when it comes to assessing people - and our three definitely gave them 10/10. Best of all though was the way they kept us briefed with their progress day to day, the videos and photos meant we relaxed more than we have ever done before when away from the beloved canine family. If you have Stan and Natasha sit for you - you can be sure your animals will be cared for - will be loved and your only problem will be giving them as good a life as they’ve had whilst you’re away. I can’t speak more highly than that. We very much hope Stan and Natasha will come back and sit for us again soon. So do Cairnie Bonnie Aslan and Floyd!
