I can't say enough good things about Laura. She watched my dogs and home for 3 weeks and kept everything in wonderful shape, even through a power outage or two due to unusual storms. Laura is an expert communicator, who provides regular updates on how things are going at home and responds immediately to any questions or concerns. She is extremely tidy, leaving the house in better shape than she found it. The dogs loved her and I would have been happy for her to stay on as a guest. If you are looking for someone you can trust to take care of your pets and home without having to worry about anything while you're gone, I can recommend Laura without reservation.
Dave and I had a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing time minding Betty & Bonnie in Bonney Lake! Patricia was a kind and helpful host who did everything to ensure we had a comfortable stay. She has compiled an extensive Welcome Guide that answers any questions a sitter for her could possibly have which was an invaluable resource. A typical day in Bonney Lake sitting ‘the girls’ involves walking them around the many winding trails around the scenic neighbourhood. Betty is a keen walker (and fetcher!) and will even go on a run with you if you wish! Bonnie is more laid back than Betty but also a happy walker. The dogs compliment each other very well. An evening cuddling with the dogs on the couch will leave you in a state of ‘dog paralysis’ (unable to move due to intense coziness) as you read or watch tv. Bonney Lake is a short drive to many other scenic trails nearby also if you’re feeling adventurous. I would recommend this sit to anyone who would like to meet 2 friendly dachshunds in a welcoming and picturesque neighbourhood (and if you’re lucky, you’ll get some spectacular views of Mt Rainier, too!)
We look after 2 lovely chickens and a lovely house in the trees. Everything was great ✨
We can’t recommend a stay at Vicki’s home enough. We adored our month long visit with Bill and Soda. Bill is a pocket full of joy and Soda has such a wonderful personality. We could have cried when we had to leave. The house is lovely, warm and inviting, which is a great reflection on its owners, Vicki and Michael. We really felt like we had won the lottery when we stayed in their home in Berkeley. They are wonderful humans and great communicators. The location is great. A short walk to Ashby BART and you have easy access to San Francisco. Lots of fun dive pubs nearby to explore and easy walking distance to the local supermarket. You can also join some local art classes or try your hand at turning pottery. Michael has created a beautiful back yard which is a lovely spot to read a book, and watch squirrels playing or hummingbirds feeding. Five stars all round from us. There is not a single solitary thing we would change about this visit. It was just perfect. Thank you Vicki and Michael, we feel so blessed.
Taking care of Millie and Mocha was such a joy! They are both an absolute hoot! Just wonderful, cuddly lap dogs with such fun dispositions. If you are sitting they will be in your lap or right next to you which we absolutely loved! Becky and Gary did such a perfect job providing us with all the information we could possibly have needed for Millie and Mocha’s care. A detailed plan for every day care, both dogs personalities and what to expect. It was much appreciated. Becky and Gary’s house was very welcoming and comfortable. They were extremely generous with anything we could have possibly needed. A wonderful work from home set up as well as multiple indoor and outdoor spaces to relax. It is also close to so many outdoor activities, as well as restaurants, breweries, and shopping. Mike and I had a wonderful time. Thank you both for trusting us with your fur babies!
Our first sit experience on TH was lovely. From the start, Catriona was very welcoming and easygoing. We shared meals and experiences, and she made the upkeep for the cats very simple and straightforward. The house itself is unique and cozy with splashes of colorful art pieces everywhere. In the home, Dusty and Stan have two distinct but loving personalities. Dusty is in every part of the word a house cat, frequently seeking some TLC while enjoying some classical music. Stan is mostly out and about and a bit mischievous, but does seek affection at times. At the garden the cats are more independent and mostly just need food. Catriona has created a refreshing space there that we wish we could've enjoyed more time in. Located in southern France, the town was charming and sunny as expected from the mediterranean. What was surprising was how much there was to explore in the Herault area, from getting lost in the small winding streets of Aniane and nearby towns, to exploring the river and trails nearby. A car is recommended! Thanks for opening your doors to us, Catriona! May our paths cross again one day.
I enjoyed watching Ford and Marilyn. They are both such sweet cats. They are more active in the morning and evenings around feeding time. I kept them inside because we were having very hot days in Salt Lake City during my sit. Marilyn warmed up to me gradually. She eventually sat on my lap in the morning after done eating. Ford has a favorite perch in the front window so that is where he was most of the time. I highly recommend this house sit if you get a chance to do it in the future. You will enjoy getting to know Ford and Marilyn and the location is great.
