I highly recommend Deborah and Tom for your house sitting and - more importantly! - animal sitting. We were fortunate enough to have them look after our 1912 house, our elderly cat and our active young dog for six weeks this spring. We couldn't be happier with their care of our home and for our animals. (And we are very particular about care for our animals.) > Their stay was complicated by the fact that the week before we left, Joe, our 16-year-old cat, was unwell. He was on the mend by our day of departure, but we left knowing that if his condition returned, we might have to make decisions from abroad about his care. Deborah and Tom knew about his condition. We felt comfortable knowing that if difficult decisions had to be made, they were just the people we would want with Joe. Fortunately, in their care, Joe thrived, and we came home six weeks later to a cat you'd never have known had been sick. He's also a very shy cat, but grew comfortable within days with Deb and Tom, even allowing Deb to pick him up (the only person other than me and the vet who has been able to do so!) > Our dog Poppy is a three-year-old rescue from Mexico with a lot of energy who is also sometimes reactive to other female dogs. Deb and Tom met with us in advance so they could learn how we deal with that (positive reinforcement when she doesn't react) and all went well. Poppy is so in love with them that she literally bowled them over with her enthusiasm when she got to see them again after their house stay. You can always trust your dog's reaction to people. > We have a character house with a large garden. Deb and Tom cared for both beautifully. > They are also very easy to deal with and are excellent communicators, keeping us posted on things as needed. They are dependable, responsible people who will love and care for your pets and your home. > They're so great that we've already booked them again for the fall!

Overall Serena was great. We came home to a clean house, happy dog and wonderful welcome home gift. The only reason I'm not giving a five star is because there was WAY too much food in the fish bowl when we got home and we had to do an immediate rescue operation for the poor sick fish. Our instructions said to feed one pellet a day. Other than that everything was great.

Max was an excellent housesitter and took great care of my pet Yuki. I came home to a happy dog and a clean apartment. I had complete confidence in Max. He was very reliable regarding start and end dates. He communicated promptly anytime I had a question or concern. He was able to quickly respond to a last minute medication need that I had for my dog. He even kept my plants alive (something that I don’t always reliably do)! Thanks, Max!

Communication with Lynda was clear throughout and I was grateful to be met at the station.

Pierrot has the loveliest nature - it was an absolute joy walking him every day. He shadowed me everywhere as soon as he saw me preparing to take him out and began to always anticipate a walk around midday. We had many long walks along the seafront, and when any dogs came into view he made the cutest sounds, wanting to make friends with them all. Lowestoft is a very dog-friendly place, and the beach front is often full of dogs on walks, so there were plenty of opportunities for him, and me, to socialise.

Tippytail is so lovely, often liked to be close by and preferred shorter stints of attention. He particularly loved the top of his head and behind his ears being stroked. He was also an excellent time-keeper when it came to meal times!

Lynda and Howard’s home is lovely and indeed quirky. They had recently downsized, and were still finding places for everything. I soon settled in and made myself comfortable. My bedroom had a super-comfy single bed. Lynda and Howard are the nicest couple and it was such a pleasure to get to know them and spend some time with them when they returned from their caravan holiday. Thank you both very much for your kind and welcoming hospitality.

Lowestoft is a bit of a hidden gem, a very nice seaside town. The Co-op is within 5 minutes walk and has everything you might need but you’ll also find Morrisons, Aldi, Asda and Tesco Express 30-40 minutes walk away, or, if you prefer, a short bus ride away.

I would definately recommend this sit.

I loved sitting for Ziggie, Mittens and Hitch, they were all such sweethearts! Jamie was very communicative and provided clear directions, which made everything so easy (and makes killer salsa if you're lucky enough to catch some). Ziggie is the alpha who keeps an eye out on everything, and will probably be the first one to greet you. Mittens will need time to trust you but is super playful once she does (and oh so very soft...but I always let her come to me for affection rather than reverse). Hitch is basically a ball of love and wants to be around people as much as possible. The only thing to know is Ziggy can meow really loud, so better if you are a **heavy** sleeper. I would definitely recommend this sit and come back again!

Margit and Art are two of the kindest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. They're the type of people that once you've met them they're like friends you've known forever. Right from the get go they make you feel welcome and at home. They were willing to help with some non related house sitting help that I needed, which I am thankful for. Their animal pack is the perfect reflection of who they are as people. I had so much fun with Stella, if you take her to the river and throw her ball, she'll love you forever. I look forward to keeping in touch with this amazing family.

While we didn't actually meet them, Alex and Jeremy were quick to answer any Q's we had, and the home was a comfy place to stay while exploring LA (Most things to see are about an hour's drive but to be expected!) The neighbourhood was quiet and nice to walk around.

A few things we maybe want to note for future sitters that we weren't aware of in advance:

- You'll need to be comfortable sleeping in the room with dogs. Chandler will be absolutely insistent on sleeping next to your bed & will paw on your door if he's not allowed in (and they will wake you up around 6.30 for food!)

- Even when walked separately, they are still incredibly strong dogs and will pull often. Monica especially is reactive and a very strong arm is needed to pull her away from any other dog/cat/squirrel that she sees and wants to lunge/bark at.

- Keep your personal items of value *out of reach* of the pair. We lost a pair of sunglasses that were on the kitchen counter this way from being chewed and broken.

Otherwise, Chandler and Monica are sweethearts. While we would have loved to know a lot more about their behaviours in advance to make the sit easier on us/them, they were lovely dogs. They just want to be close to you when you're home, and love a good cuddle or a sunbathe in the garden. Monica is definitely the alpha and will protect her back yard, but also loves to be affectionate, and Chandler is just a huge softie who loves a good ice cube and a cuddle.

Thanks Alex & Jeremy
