10/10 RECOMMEND Professional - Knowledgeable - Reliable - Friendly Like many dog parents going on vacation is difficult when trying to ensure your pets are well cared for in a loving and safe environment. TIFF provides just that and more! TIFF pet sat my 3 small dogs ages 16, 15, 3 from 9/1-9/9 in her home. She had a comfy dog bed set up, fresh water bowl, and toys ready to welcome the pups. Her complex has a fenced in courtyard where the dogs can easy sniff around and get some exercise. Very nice neighborhood for walks too. TIFF put my worries at ease answering all my questions at our meet and greet prior to their stay. She even went the extra mile and visited the pups at my home a few weeks before so they can get more familiar with her. While I was out of the country we received text/photo updates and a video call. Unexpectedly there was a heat wave and could sense how well she was handling the situation and making sure the dogs were as comfortable as possible considering the circumstances. We are thankful to Tiff for providing such great service and will book again.

Cannot recommend Tiff's services enough! She takes care of our fur family whenever we're out of town. She provides constant updates and photos/videos, and is especially good at training and socializing the pups all together. We've been repeat clients for 2 years now with zero issues, and our dogs LOVE her. Will always recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter/boarder.

Tiff is our go to dog walker when we are too busy or out of town. She is dependable and sends me updates and photos of her time caring for Bella and Brutus. She has trimmed Bella's nails for me when asked. I appreciate that she has expanded her services to include pawpedis. :) It is nice to work with someone you trust.

Tiff has been essentially a co parent of my dog and I trust her more with knowing how to take good care of her than myself. My dog loves going there so I feel zero guilt if we need to leave town and I'm so grateful for Tiff. She's extremely flexible when things come up (eg new baby seen here!) and if it weren't for her, I probably wouldn't be able to have a dog or kid or at least one would be neglected 😑. Also she does her due diligence to make sure whoever she is boarding gets along well with others. Thank you Tiff!! Almost don't want to recommend you to others since then you may get too busy but I try to behave ethically and unselfishly 😛. Highly recommend! Especially if you have a dog you don't want to leave overnight at a daycare.

Tiff is everything that you want in a pet sitter and if I could give her more than 5 stars, I would. We have a Siberian husky with significant separation anxiety issues and I think it says it all when our dog can't wait to leave the comfort of our car to run up to Tiff's door :) Tiff is incredibly responsible, dependable, and goes out of her way to accommodate our needs. There have been a few times where our plans got delayed and we had to pick our dog up later than expected. However, Tiff was so understanding and flexible and made sure that we didn't rush, worry, or cut our activities short. She treats our dog like one of her own- giving him lots of love and pets, taking him to the dog park, and even treating him to Puppuccinos. We checked out a LOT of doggy daycares when we first adopted our dog and Tiff's Doggy Daycare & Pet Boarding is by far the BEST. We have used her services for over a year now for both daycare and pet boarding and we have a great experience every time.

Tiff and Jimmy are honest, reliable, and terrific pet sitters. When I was in the hospital, they came to my home twice a day to feed, clean up after, and socialize with my beloved dog, macaw, and parrot. Tiff kept in touch with me daily via e-mail and/or text letting me know how my critters were doing and even sent photos! I highly recommend Tiff’s Doggy Daycare!!! Bonnie

Tiffany is absolutely wonderful. I feel safe and my best friend Is when he is at Tiff’s Doggie Daycare & Pet Boarding. I use her service for boarding my buddy for several days at a time. I have never had a single issue. She an awesome caregiver flyover my Kobi!! Love you guys!!

Tiffany was great with my dog. She took the time to do meet and greet (she really took the time to get to know my dog and I was well informed as well). I feel VERY comfortable leaving my baby with her. Tiffany sent updates and pictures during the stay, that ease my mind greatly since it was our first time. My dog seems very happy on the day I dropped him off. It seemed like he was not in the hurry to go home with me when I picked him up, lol. That's how comfortable my dog felt under Tiffany's care. Our plan changed last minute and Tiffany was very kind to accommodate our pick up time. Tiffany's awesome care gave me the peace of mind when leaving my dog with her while I traveled for work. I was able to focus on my work and was not worried about my dog at all. I will definitely use Tiffany again for my future needs.

Butters stayed with Tiff a year ago and loved her. We now also have a 60 lb. bull dog. I was concerned that he was too big, but Tiff wasn't worried, and from the pictures we got from her, he seemed to love her as much as Butters. If you don't want your dogs at a mass confusion dog hotel, Tiff is the one to go to!! Personal attention and loving care!!

Tiff went above and beyond to help take care of my dog during my trip out of state. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a reliable sitter for my rowdy 6 month old pitbull puppy, but Tiff's experience and understanding was exactly what I needed to put my mind at ease. The best! Mihail is flexible, caring, and trustworthy. I’m very particular about who I leave my dog with and I’ve loved having him and his team to take care of my girl. The pick up and drop off makes coordinating with my 13 hour work days so much easier. My dog is always excited to go with him & comes home tired!

We were looking for a dog trainer as well as pet boarding. Mihail, owner of Long Beach Pet Care was highly recommended for our 6-month-old Brittany, Rhett. He loved his new play friends. He enjoyed group walks & lots of socializing and training at his 2 week-long summer camp. Mihail took such great care of our Rhett. I never worried about him. We live in Brea, the distance was not at all a problem for us. We highly recommend LBPC. Taking Rhett there will be a pleasure.

We found Long Beach Pet Care, shortly after moving to Long Beach a few years ago. The thing was we needed a dog walker that had experience with senior large breeds, specifically Akita‘s. If you own a Akita or large breed like an Akita, you know the struggle of finding reliable dog walkers, kennels or dog sitters that are willing to work with your breed. We were so happy to have found Mihail and his team with Long Beach Pet Care! They have a initial meet and greet, to make sure it’s a good fit. Our dog loved her walks with Mihail and team. She also got to enjoy group walks! I noticed a huge difference when I took her for walks after being walked by Mihail, she would walk at my pace. We had such a great experience with the walks, we added on daycare at times and overnight boarding. They truly care about the animals they walk or board, and as a owner you can have peace of mind that your dog will be exercised and enjoy fun times.

Monday, April 25th, 2022. Received a call from my sister in law that my brother who is a cancer survivor and current dialysis patient is Septic throughout his body and Gangrene along with other heart issues has given him only days to live. As I am throwing stuff in a bag with one hand and renting a car to drive to Idaho with the other. I am thinking I have to go online and try and book care for my fur babies asap! I can’t even think at this point. I just call Mihail and leave him what I am sure is a very frantic message of needing care for my babies. I make contact with Mihail and he is so quick to assure me that he has “the crew” which he calls my 3 babies. I tell him I don’t know when I will be back and he says don’t worry I’ve got them. Just keep in touch. Yes! I have used Mihail’s services once before and that was a Huge Success!! So, his few words put me at ease that I didn’t have to worry. His constant communication during the time I was gone was priceless to me. I’m sure it was just his way of continuing to offer support and ease at a time that I needed it most. Far from what you could expect from an overpriced boarding/kennel service. Not only were my babies able to stay in their own home. Mihail’s, prices and commitment to care for them as his own. Long Beach Pet Care and its owner Mihail were a godsend to me three years ago when I was trying to find a dog walker for my new rescue pit-bull, Petunia. She is my baby, and I was not going to leave her in the hands of just anyone. Mihail took the time to come and meet Petunia -- free of charge -- to ensure she was a good fit for him and the other dogs she would be around, which she was. That was three years ago, and since then Petunia and Bowie (another pit mix who joined our family a few months later) have enjoyed countless doggy daycare outings and hikes with Mihail and the pack. You have to check out his Instagram account @longbeachpetcare to really get a sense of how amazing he is; I call him the 'LBC Dog Whisperer.' Even more important, Petunia and Bowie love and adore Mihail. Before I leave for work, I tell them both, "have fun with Mihail today," and its instant smiles and wiggle-butts. I have such peace of mind knowing my babies are in good hands and being taken care of like they are members of the family. I HIGHLY recommend Long Beach Pet Care for your pet needs; you -- and your fur babies -- will not be disappointed.

Our pet sitter for almost 7 years.

It's clean and there's lots of things for the dogs to play with. The person that showed us around was very nice and answered every question we had. They even offer different packages tailored to fit your dog's needs. For example, I got the calming package for my dog. After taking the tour,I felt much better about leaving my dog with them for the night.

These folks really care about the pets left in their care. They put the effort in for our guy, Mr G, to make him feel comfortable in spite of his reactivity. We really appreciate the staff at Joyful Paws and think you will too!

I was so terrified to leave my 6 month old kitten fo the 6 days, but every staff member I encountered was able to ease my fears!! My kitten did so well, they were so patient and kind with him. He can be a bit spicy when meeting new people, but he adapted do well to their kindness. I most definitely will be returning for a visit to Joyful Paws Hotel!!

While the staff was friendly, I was extremely dissatisfied with this day care. Please DO NOT take your dog here under any circumstances. The first time I took my husky here, his nails were bleeding when I picked him up. When I asked staff, they had no idea what the cause was and barely noticed it when they turned in my dog to me. He must have been pawing at a fence for a long time and gotten ignored! The other two times I took him, he came out a complete mess and extremely dirty. The picture below is the last time ever brought him in on August 18 2023. He had a horrible stain on his left cheek that almost TWO MONTHS LATER has not completely gone away!!! If you look closely, he still has a light pink/brown stain on his left cheek. I’ve tried professional groomers, whitening shampoo, and nothing works. I assume it must have been some type of tar or oil that my husky got into. Once again, I asked staff if they knew what he was getting himself into, and they were unaware of what caused the mess. They didn’t notice it until they gave me my dog at pickup. Lastly, I know someone who’s dog suffered a spinal injury here and they deleted the footage!! Regardless if you believe the spinal injury story, the evidence of how Joyful Paws neglected my dogs needs is right here. I will be taking my dog to the vet and after the evaluation, I will reach out to Joyful Paws and request compensation because this is ridiculous especially for the price they charge. If you care about your dog’s safety please don’t leave them here.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. It was a first for my pup and they made us feel comfortable and secure. Will be using them on a regular basis. Ive been going here for over a year and continue to be impressed with the staff who look after our Ollie! oliver loves the staff and all his friends at Joyful Paws.

My Chihuahua loves to go here and be social with his friends when I'm busy. Recently boarded him for three nights and he was returned happy and healthy. Will return for more visits! They are very well organized

My dog stayed here for the first time this past week. I was very impressed with the professionalism of Joyful Paws and completely trusted that my dog was safe and well taken care of here. I was able to watch my dog during play time every day with the Wag Vision live cameras. I loved the daily report cards and photos! Also, she was given a great thanksgiving meal, a bath, nail trim, and goody bag upon departure. I recommend Joyful Paws to all my fellow pet parents! Definitely will continue coming here for lodging and maybe even daycare! They are also great with following COVID precautions - limited people in the lobby allowed, curbside pickup/drop off, wearing masks, etc.

My dog LOVES Joyful Paws - he’s always so excited to go. The staff is super friendly and very attentive! I love that they do breaks during the day so the dogs aren’t overstimulated and given time to rest between play times.

1st day meet and greet. Staff was very pleasant i was given a tour this morning, and the young lady answered all of my concerns. Made me feel comfortable leaving ny dog in their care. The facility was clean. I had the ability to view my dog through Webcam which is a big plus. He was a little shy, but with time i do believe he will adjust. TY for caring and for taking care of Taco

My husband and I moved here in September from Austin, Texas. It was a whirlwind move and I was possibly most worried about my precious pup Rainbow missing her doggy friends. We had the best home daycare in Austin, so I was nervous, but finding Karla soon after moving was a God send. She has helped make the transition not only bearable but easy. She is so kind and generous. After just a few weeks Rainbow felt right at home. She's been going weekly for daycare and she is always excited when we arrive! Recently we left her with Karla for over a week while we traveled for the holidays. I was sad to leave her, but Karla sent regular pictures and videos of our girl. She even took a video of her spending one-on-one time with Rainbow so she wouldn't miss us too much - Rainbow was giving her lots of kisses and I could tell she felt safe, comfortable, and had a blast playing. Thank you, Karla, for being there for us!!

Karla is incredibly sweet and kind! Prior to boarding our pup, we set up a meet and greet so that we she could show us where our dog was allowed to play and run around. She explained to us that they have access to indoor and an outdoor fenced area. The backyard is big with a lot of grass and shade and our dog, Theo, loved running around back there. During our trip, Karla made sure to keep us updated with a lot of daily videos and pictures which was so fun to watch! My dog loves to stay at her house and I'm never worried about him while she's watching him. Great communication and she is able to answer any questions that we might have. We trust Karla for all of our boarding/dog watching needs and recommend her to all of our friends that have dogs! Thanks so much, Karla!

Pig & Rose Daycare & Boarding is the best! I 100% trust that our pup is taken care of by Karla and her family and that she loves him like her own. Daycare & boarding at Karla’s home is so much better than boarding facilities with a large amount of dogs as our boy can be shy but it’s such a great place for him to socialize with other dogs but also be in a comfortable environment. It also is so wonderful that Karla sends photos while we are away missing him. Can’t recommend enough!

This review comes a bit late but necessary. I boarded my three dogs with Karla. This was the second time using her but the first time with our new pup. When I say Karla is an angel, I really mean she has great patience and a caring demeanor. She has a great backyard for playing and gates throughout the house to separate and keep doggies from getting into trouble. My three are very active and talkative, I just hope they didn’t scare Karla off! We need more caretakers like Karla and her wonderful family. Thank you Karla!

Karla is AMAZING! We thought we’d never be able to take another vacation without the dogs. We were so worried about leaving one of our pups since he is such an anxious guy. We started taking him regularly to work on his anxiety issues. Karla is so good and patient with him. She is in constant contact when we leave him, sending videos and pictures so we can see his progress. With her help, he’s becoming more confident and learning to socialize with other dogs. It’s not easy leaving our baby, but we feel much better knowing he’s in her care!

We had such a great experience with Pig and Rose Doggy Daycare and Boarding. We needed to board for a week and were originally going to leave our dog at a dog hotel but was dreading her being locked in a cage or a room by herself. A neighbor had sent out a message about Pig and Rose and it was just perfect timing. Karla is amazing. She is so compassionate and caring. She sent texts and videos all week to keep us informed. She really went above and beyond for our dog and we are so extremely grateful. We highly recommend Pig and Rose!!

Update - Daycare Experience: In the past, my dog has struggled with anxiety around big dogs, but after going to daycare with Karla a few times, she's really starting to come out of her shell. Karla's experience and level of care really shines and you can tell that she puts a lot of thought and love into foundational things like introducing the dogs to each other and choosing fun places to go for walks. I love the video updates she sends throughout the day!

Karla was the best sitter we could have asked for for our fur babies! She was so caring and treated them like part of her family. We were given plenty of updates and photos as well as videos of our babies while we were away. Since leaving our dogs with a sitter is very new to us, Karla helped us feel at ease by making sure we packed things that would make our doggies feel comfortable. We knew our babies were in great hands with her! Will definitely book with Karla again.

Karla was amazing with our puppy. She was able to accommodate us last minute and our puppy immediately felt like home and had such a blast staying here overnight. I feel like the home is a safe space for our small dog, and I would bring her back anytime we need boarding/daycare.

Dana and daughter Jazzy are the most compassionate and loving people. They took care of our two beloved Bassets for a week while we went out of state. It gave me peace of mind to know that our two babies were in the best hands. The pet sitters I worked with were very professional, good people who seem to care a lot about the animals, and my cat seemed very happy when I got back from my trip. I boarded my dog here for 6 days while I was in Europe, and I was extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and transparency. During the boarding process, they assured me I could email them for updates, but I never received a response. Being overseas, it was difficult to call, so I was left completely in the dark about my dog’s well-being. When I picked her up, I noticed she was shedding much more than usual, which I believe was due to stress. Additionally, they do not allow you to see inside the facility or provide any cameras for monitoring, which means you have no way of knowing how your pet is being cared for. This lack of access and updates made the entire experience stressful and unsettling. The price is not bad but If you’re looking for peace of mind while traveling, I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s crucial to know your pet is in good hands, and unfortunately, this pet hotel failed to provide that assurance.

I left my dog at this hotel for the first time, and it was a very disappointing experience. They don’t have cameras or updates during the stay, which made me anxious. When I picked up my dog, he was limping. No one could explain what happened; they just said he injured himself. I took him to the vet and, to my surprise, found out he had hurt his knee. The treatment cost a thousand dollars! I tried contacting the hotel to discuss the issue and see if they could help with the costs, but it turned into a game of passing me around: I spoke to several people, and in the end, no one returned my calls. The worst part is that my dog, who is very energetic, was unable to walk for 2/3 weeks. It was an extremely traumatic situation for both of us. I will never leave my dog at a hotel again, and I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone.

It's always stressful trying to find a place to house your pet when you go on vacation or you have to go away You can't take them with you I don't have any stress about leaving in there they take care of him and he's always happy and that's all that matters to me Great place great staff great prices

I don't enjoy giving a single star to a small business such as this but I can't give it more based on 2 separate experiences that we've had. We had to go and find a different boarding place. That's all I'm going to say.

Winston loves his Loving Pet Hotel stays!

This is the first place that ever did a meet and greet before having my two cats stay which I liked. The staff is very friendly and my cats seem to have a great time (hard to tell, they are cats).

I highly recommend this dog daycare! My dog has been going there for 8 months and the staff are loving and attentive. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. My dog is always happy and tired when I pick her up.

My puppy Tofu loves coming here for doggy daycare. The prices are affordable and the front office staff are super sweet! The facility is well maintained and very clean. I feel comfortable dropping off my little fur baby here while I'm at work. Thank you Loving Pet!

no updates and no camera. my dogs have been there for a week and i had a sitter cancel on me last minute. i confirmed before i was aware of this. Had i known, i would have tried elsewhere but i ran out of time. i would have been able to pick them up today after landing at 4:10pm in LAX but they were unwilling to stay open a minute longer. Bummed because i miss them and i haven’t even seen a picture of them since drop-off. i’m sure they’re fine but the hours, lack of updates, and lack of flexibility are a big turn off for me.

I bring my dog Rafa here all the time when I leave town, which is often. They are incredibly easy to schedule with, and genuinely treat my dog with love. The prices are very reasonable, and they have hours 7 days a week. When I moved out here I was worried about finding a boarding option as good as this one. Highly recommend!

Five-Star Review for Carolyn’s Pet Care We recently boarded our two senior dogs, both 16 years old, at Carolyn’s Pet Care over Thanksgiving, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. While it was a bit pricey, the exceptional care Carolyn provided made it worth every penny. What made this even more special was that Carolyn took our dogs in at the last minute when our usual sitter was unable to care for them. We were in a tough spot, and she graciously made room to board both of our dogs on short notice, which we really appreciated. Carolyn went above and beyond to ensure our dogs were well taken care of. She bathed both of them twice during their stay and even helped our dog Abraham with his flaky skin condition. She carefully combed out the flakes, and since then, his skin has improved remarkably. She kept us updated every night with plenty of photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Her spacious backyard was perfect for the dogs to play, and she made sure they were well-fed, exercised, and clean. She even clipped their nails! Carolyn’s love for animals and her years of experience truly shine through in the care she provides. Despite the cost, the quality of her service and attention to detail were absolutely worth it. We highly recommend Carolyn’s Pet Care to anyone looking for a safe and loving place for their pets!

Carolyn provides the absolute best daytime play environment for our dogs on a weekly basis and takes wonderful care of them when we are out of town. They are always so happy to see her and love spending time at her house with the other dogs she takes care of. Carolyn is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to training and caring for the health of our dogs as well. She provides us with regular updates and sends photos/videos of the dogs when they stay with her. She is incredible!

This review is long overdue. Our Kiki (maltipoo) has been going with Carolyn for about three years now. We wanted to get her out socializing with other dogs, but she didn't like the dog parks. Having Kiki go with Carolyn once a week to visit with her friends and go for a hike turned out to be the best decision we ever made. I have to admit that Kiki is not the friendliest little dog, but Carolyn has taught her to respect and mind her manners around other dogs and people. It was especially important that she behave around our grand kids. Her yard and house are meticulous. Any Fur baby would be lucky to spend time with her. She is great with her dogs, and they all respect and love her. Carolyn is the best find ever! I can’t believe it, but I dropped off an undisciplined, unruly puppy whom I believed to be incorrigible and when I picker her up and brought her home she was so well behaved!! Im in awe of the change in her behavior! Carolyn is the only person I trust with my fur babies. They are well cared and loved by her when we have to be away.

Carolyn is absolutely amazing with all dogs! Our dogs participate in her “socials”. Carolyn provides a well supervised, fun environment for our dogs to to play and interact with lots other dogs regularly. . We travel frequently and rely on Carolyn to care for our dogs often. She is suburb at providing for their needs, very aware of their health issues, dietary issues, etc. She is truly a gifted “dog whisperer”!!

Carolyn is absolutely THE BEST!!!! I rescued a formosan mountain dog mix, Basia, from Taiwan not realizing how fearful and skittish the dog was. It was a struggle taking her for walks and trying to train her because she was terrified of everything and everyone. I tried taking a dog training class locally in my neighborhood but it didn't help. As I was losing hope, my in laws learned about Carolyn's service and referred me and she has transformed my dog! Basia has gained so much confidence. She learned to tolerate all types of situations, she is great on walks and hikes and is now well trained. Family and friends are all shocked at how much Basia has changed for the better! I am very grateful to Carolyn for her patience and effort in working with Basia so she can learn to enjoy life and for all her advice and tips on how to become a better dog parent! Basia's been going to Carolyn's morning social every week for over a year now and Basia LOVES it! She is such a happy dog when she's at Carolyn's with all her friends :) Whenever we travel, we only board Basia with Carolyn knowing she is in good hands. Carolyn is very sweet and understanding and truly has a big heart for animals! I highly highly highly recommend her! :D

Carolyn has been taking care of our Norfolk Terriors for over 12 years. Both Quincy and Chloe were always excited to be with Carolyn and the other dogs. Somehow she has all the dogs together getting their picture taken and they are not making any noise. She has always taken excellent care of them and both my wife and I highly recommend Carolyn for her knowledge and skill with our dogs.

Carolyn is the absolute best! She has frequently cared for our french bulldog for the past 3 years and we are so thankful to have found her! As frenchies tend to be, ours is definitely a little firecracker. He’s silly and sweet, but not what anyone would consider low maintenance. Carolyn loves and cares for him like he’s her own. She is very attentive to his needs and he absolutely loves his time at her house. When he hears the word “Carolyn” his big ears perk right up and he waits excitedly at our door. I rest assured that my dog is in great hands when when he’s with Carolyn. She’s easy to communicate with and very skilled with animals. I highly recommend her services!!

I am so grateful to have found Carolyn many years ago. She is AMAZING! She cares for our cat Stanley. Both while we're out of town and even when we are not... She goes above and beyond in every way!! She has gotten him into the best cat groomer when he really needed - she not only got him in -despite the very long waitlist, she took him while I was at brunch! AND she went into the grooming session with him and assisted the groomer! She is knowledgeable and seems to know exactly what is needed and when. She welcomes when I ask her advice for even the smallest issue and she always gives me great information and recommendations! She is completely capable. When we are away I always feel comfort and relief knowing Carolyn is caring for not only Stanley but also caring for our home and our plants ,better than I do I might add. Stanley always looks so handsome and healthy after she has been with him. She seems to have a sixth sense with him- he can get pretty feisty. She gives him the "tough love" he is in need of. She does everything with strength, love and kindness. Stanley loves her and my husband and I love her and feel so lucky to have her!!!! I can't say enough great things about her, she is one in a million

I'm glad I found this amazing dog boarding facility! I stumbled upon it through a bulletin posting at the dog park, and it turned out to be a gem. My indoor dogs, aged 9 and 10, absolutely adore this place. It's evident from their cheerful demeanor when I pick them up that they had a great time here. Unlike past experiences, they don't hold a grudge against me for boarding them. The option to choose between indoor and outdoor kennels is fantastic (I usually go for outdoor), and I appreciate the additional bathing service available at the end of their stay. The staff is genuinely caring and shows a deep affection for both the animals and their owners. Highly recommend this facility for your furry friends' needs! I included a pic-up video for proof!

My dog stayed here for 2 nights while me and my wife traveled to Vegas. The hotel itself is not the most luxurious… but the dogs 🐕 seems to be treated right! My doggo was happy when I got him back! They are affordable too, I THINK it was $35 per night for the private suite. Constructive criticism: If they can do some renovations this place would be a STRONG competitor against Bark Bark. Like I said, it’s not the most luxurious place.. my wife is already saying that she would rather leave him at bark bark next time because she didn’t like the visual of the place… I told her to not be judgmental, and that they took good care of our dog! But I do understand her perspective that she wants our dog to stay at the best place possible, and Mar Mel Inn is a good/affordable place, but not a wonderful/top pet hotel. Thank you! 🤙🏼

We've been bringing our dogs to Mar Mel Inn for the past 5 years and they're the only people we trust to take care of our fur babies. We've boarded them at other places before Mar Mel, but none were ever as caring and attentive. Our boys always come home happy and tuckered out from playing and socializing. We've also used them for daycare recently and it's been great! Thank you to everyone who takes care of Linus and Gatsby!

I can't say enough good things about Mar Mel Inn. The staff treats my dog so well, and he is always so excited to come here and see them. My dog Calvin is very high energy, but is always worn out from playing when he gets home. You can tell they really know what they're doing here, and I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs dog daycare or boarding! They also gave him a bath (which is very difficult), and did an amazing job; he was so soft and smelled good after!!

I went on vacation for a week and had no one to leave my dog with, so I found this place. My dog is very energetic, this dog could run all day, I was a little worried that they would call me to say they couldn't handle him like they did at petco in Lakewood, but that's another review; anyways when I came back to pick up my dog I was amazed that my dog was super calmed. They took really good care of my dog; charged $36-46 per day, which I considered a very good price. They feed the pets for only $2 a day. The staff was super nice and efficient, you can tell that they have years of experience.I recommend this place 100%.

I have been going here with my dog for years and they always take great care of him. He is always happy when I drop him off and when i pick him up. The staff could not possibly be any more friendly and they always go out of their way to make sure the pets come first. Plus... no one can get my dog as clean as they do. (Siberian husky) comes out fluffy and soft... not to mention the white actually looks white! I love this place and my dog loves it even more! Update July 2022 Still the best place around. Rosa is the BEST!!! My dog has been here since he was 1, now 12. Would not think about going anywhere else... ever. I even drive from ontario to have my pup cleaned. Well worth it. Thank you to all the staff, you are amazing.

My dogs come here at least twice a year and I totally trust the staff to take good care of my girls. My Golden Retriever loves the play time and she looks beautiful after her grooming the day of pick up. My other girl is very timid and snappy. They are very patient and kind to her. I have never had any problems and will continue to use them as my boarding of choice!

I’ve been taking my dogs to Mar Mel Inn for about 12 years now. The rates are fair. My dogs always have a good time & come home clean & tired. The staff is great & accommodating. I don’t mind there hours. It’s a small facility & I respect the fact they have limited hours during the day so they can be open 7 days a week. Definitely have your dog bathed because the play area is dirt and the dogs get hosed down while they play. I have recommended Mar Mel to many friends over the years & they all board their dogs with them as well.

Senior pup 17 years old ( walks a few times a day and fit and active) Sleeps in house at nite all her life, has enjoyed being at this great oasis because of being outside in the fresh air ! Very surprised how pup 🐶 took to the ways of Mar Mel. Right up there is the love for animals. It is evident and a fact. Going here is a treat for my 🐕 in her senior years. 12 days or more: she’s queen of her throne there and they go Thru steps to match her up to similar pups to roam the grounds( on outside kennel play time) so their temperament matches. Not a problem at nite : they provided extra blankets for her comfort and she goes with it. I’ve never left her outside in 17 years. Very impressed after being hesitant the first time. I see longtime customers going here and it says allot about the care this team provides. Truly pleased.

I hired Lisa to watch over my great dane while I was on vacation for 2 weeks. Monster (my dog) usually gets very upset when I'm gone and the 2nd day Lisa came to my home to find that he had severe intestinal distress and there was diarrhea ALL OVER the house. He will always react that way when I'm gone. When I returned from my trip I came home to find the sofa and the carpet and the floors..spotless! She cleaned up the mess he made with out one complaint!!! Also, Monster was happy to see me, as usual, but pined for Lisa for 3 days. He fell in love! Now when she watches him, he no longer gets diarrhea and is much calmer when I leave. BEST PET SITTER EVER!!!!!!!

Lisa is a great Pet Sitter! My cats just love her! I always know that they will have the best of care when she is there. Lisa's love of animals is very apparent from the first time you meet her. She's been doing this for a long time & the reason why is her love for all animals! She always does a great job & leaves my kitchen immaculate. Her rates are also very reasonable for the great care she provides. I love Lisa! I wouldn't have anyone else take care of my animals!

Lisa was great w/my Aust Shepard who is smart and can create a disaster when bored. In 2hrs I learned how to make Chloe happy wo/killing my schedule. Lisa trains you to lead ur dog to be happily guided!

Lisa is the dog whisperer! She has been taking care of my two dogs and 3 cats for the past 8 years. Lisa is reliable, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable about caring for the needs of my fur babies. She has also trained both of my dogs and has converted them from timid, unruly and hostile stray dogs to the most obedient, friendly well-behaved pups. My cats also love her. Lisa helped me train a rescue dog that did not know anything! He was not leash trained and he was bit 'nippy'. One session with Lisa and magically he let me do absolutely any handling without nipping and learned to walk on the leash! We further refined his training and I now have the most wonderful and obedient dog ever. I cannot say enough about the way the animals love Lisa and her ability to communicate with animals is uncanny. Furthermore, while training my dog, she trained me to continue teaching him effectively. Nothing short of amazing. I cannot recommend Lisa highly enough. If there were 10 stars she would get 10 stars!

Lisa has taken care of my 2 dogs at my home in San Pedro several times in the last 10 years. She keeps a copy of my house key at all times. Lisa is a professional and she is trustworthy with my most precious furbabies. I have used Lisa’s pet sitting for over 20 years. She is without a doubt the most loving caring responsible Pet sitter I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I had two aging cats and a job that took me out of town at least one week out of 2 months. Lisa’s knowledge of cat behavior and cat health was so helpful when dealing with my aging cats. Now that I have a two-year-old rather large dog Lisa again to the rescue. She has taught and trained my new dog to be obedient and a complete pleasure to be around. Lisa provided in home dog care for my Willie for the last 10 years until he passed away in August. In fact, I think she loved him as much as I did! I never worried about him while he was in Lisa's care. The quality of her service was self evident every time I returned and saw his precious face. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a caring pet giver who really understands how to interact with dogs in a manner that allows them to feel safe. My Willie was fearful of strangers and had trouble trusting. From the first introduction, Lisa was able to win his trust because she interacted with him in a manner that wasn't threatening. I was overjoyed as we had tried other sitters who couldnt get past the front door. They didn't want to invest their time into building a relationship with him. We first met Lisa at agility training for our dogs in 2010. She impressed us with her compassion with her dogs. She treated them well and they responded positively to her. We started using her for pet sitting in 2011 and every year since then. Her prices are reasonable, she is always on time and takes great care of our 2 dogs (Minnie and Gus). They love her. As an example we were at the Terraces recently and Lisa happened to walk by. Minnie became excited when she saw Lisa and actually jumped out of the car and chased after her to greet her. I don’t understand how anybody would have anything negative to say about her. She’s the best.

From the moment I opened the door I knew this was a great place for my pups. I was greeted warmly and I think I needed reassurance more than my dogs, Gracie & Jon Snow. They both passed the socialization and I soon took them to their 1st daycare on a Sunday. They’re already friendlier dogs on their walks and with strangers they don’t bark as much. They also slept well! I feel really confident to leave them at Canine Retreat for a quick getaway trip! They are making friends, too! Thanks, Canine Retreat! We joined 6 months ago and it has been a beyond a wonderful experience having our Golden Retriever Retro be a part of Canine Retreat pack. Especially on days that rain and daylight savings combined when we are unable to take him to the Doggie Park it is perfect. Retro loves other dogs so much and being able to drop him off in early AM before work and pick him up after work is truly a God send. The staff are so very professional and I am always relieved to see him on the Webcam whenever I want. Retro gets so excited to go there everytime, he just cant wait to go have fun, and he adores the staff there. He lights up with a grin from ear to ear and he has it everytime we drop him off. Retro is definitely one happy guy to be there. If I could give them more than 5 stars 🌟 I would for sure!

Milo LOVES Tuesdays as he knows he gets to spend the day at CR. At 8:00 am he is sitting by the door waiting to get in the car. He has so much fun playing with the dogs and I am grateful that the staff is always present and interactive with the pups. We are very pleased.

We have been taking our dog here since November. I don’t have enough words or space to say how much we love bringing our precious pup to Canine Retreat. The staff is so friendly and loves our little pup like their own. The dogs are separated by size and are supervised the whole time. You can watch them on camera and it’s been so fun to watch our shy, scared puppy grow into a confident member of the pack. We cannot get her out of the car fast enough when we arrive. It’s her favorite place other than home. We highly recommend canine retreat. We have complete peace of mind when we leave her there. It’s a great place to socialize your puppy. We are so happy with Canine Retreat and most importantly our sweet fur baby loves it also, she has had a couple of day stays and we also have just recently gone out of town and we left her in the GREAT care of all the fur baby care givers. Not really a place you want to take your dog that’s under the age of two. They do a test to see how well your dog socialize they put my one year-old dog in with older Dogs who didn’t have the same type of energy that he had. It was a little odd. I was hoping since they did put him with an older dog that the older dogs would correct him so he can learn appropriate behavior, but instead, the old dogs just stay in a corner. Tried this one out because it was closer to home. The staff is really nice just really odd that they don’t put dogs in weight class and age group. Wanted to come here because it was closer than the one I go to typically, but I’ll just stick to the one I go to in San Clemente because my little guy is able to have a good time.
