Sheila
A delightful house-sit.
Sheila and Jon were very welcoming and cooked a delicious meal for me on my first night. As they took the dogs with them on this trip, I was just looking after the cat and hens. Jasper is very entertaining and super-friendly. He thinks he's a dog, will accompany you on walks and LOVES fuss and attention.
The cottage is gorgous - cosy and relaxing, with an Aga that keeps the place very warm and comfortable. The garden is a proper treat for plant-lovers. I enjoyed fresh vegetables, pears and the most wonderful grapes I have ever tasted - and, of course, fresh eggs from 'the girls'. The hens are very easy to look after as they have a secure, well-designed home.
The house is out in the countryside - great if you like peace and quiet (and owls hooting at night!), but you will need a car.
I would definitely recommend this sit and would be happy to go back.

I enjoyed meeting Deb and Jem very much! They had me over for dinner the night before the sit to meet and go over everything and they were so welcoming and kind. Taly and Gryff were hard to not fall in love with- so affectionate and sweet, truly the best personalities. They both enjoy lots of affection and cuddles and were so easy to care for. They will be missed! As well as Belinda (the chicken) who had a quirky personality but was also a breeze. The house is gorgeous and homey and I had such a peaceful stay there. Deb and Jem were a pleasure to house-sit for and I would definitely recommend it!

Kate
We had a great time in NE Portland with Grandpa Merle! Kate was a great communicator throughout the sit and allowed us to come a day early and leave a day late if needed. The house was cozy and close to the airport. There was also a cute dog park within a 15 minute walk that we took Merle to daily. Merle is a lovable spaniel, always good for a belly rub and a laugh. He is very well behaved and low maintenance, happy to hike for 5 miles or sleep for 5 hours, you choose! Highly recommend spending a weekend with this adorable pup!

We had a lovely long weekend with lily, she is the most beautiful little kitten and we loved our time with her. Rachel was great to communicate with and the handover when we arrived was a great transition for lily! Would highly recommend a sit with lily! 🐈‍⬛

Clare
Thank you Clare for choosing us to look after your lovely home and of course Barlow, Daisy, not forgetting the hens. We had a fabulous time. Daisy and Barlow were simply lovely, entertaining and such gorgeous cats. Barlow took a little time to get used to us, but very quickly warmed and settled with us. Communication with Clare was good throughout the process and even though we didn't actual meet in person, we were made to feel very welcome (especially goodies were wonderful) in your home, thank you. We wouldn't hesitate to sit again should the opportunity arise. Once, again, thank you. xx
