We were lucky to be able to get Daphne and Chey again, and this time they went above and beyond in pet care. One of our two old dogs, Henry, has been battling pancreatitis for 6 months, and just before we left, he stopped taking his meds, and was hardly eating anything. Our first day overseas, we were informed by Daphne and Chey that Henry was declining and in pain. They gently moved him outdoors and then back inside to try to make him comfortable, but to no avail. I had arranged to have a mobile vet come to the house if needed, and Daphne and Chey stayed with Henry through the whole procedure, petting him and telling him comforting words. They then dug a grave and buried him with his favorite toys. I felt terrible losing my old friend, and that this task had to be taken care of by other people. However, these two took on the entire difficult task with love and extreme care, and they are truly wonderful human beings who were there for dear Henry when he needed love and support. They are amazing!
