Pet Sitters in Silves

Cathie and Mike are a delightful, friendly couple who exude confidence. We had no difficulty leaving Jesse, our dog, in their capable hands. Their own dog, Fenny, came with them and she couldn't be a better example of how to look after a dog well. She and Jesse hit it off straightaway. Cathie sent us updates and photos of Jess every day. Jess looked relaxed and very happy.It was really reassuring to see that our precious little dog wasn't pining for us but having a great time with her new best friends. Cathie and Mike followed our care plan for Jess diligently: feeding twice a day, regular walks and ball time on the terrace. Fenny joined in too of course. On day seven of their stay the house lost its internet connection. Following our instructions, Mike did his utmost to solve the problem for us but the problem turned out to be with our internet provider. When we arrived home our house was super shiny clean; the laundry done and folded neatly, fresh, clean towels in the bathrooms and kitchen and the outside terrace swept too. Jesse was happy, lively and looked a picture of health. Cathie and Mike left by arrangement just before we arrived home. Saying thank you in a message doesn't seem to convey sufficiently our deepest thanks to them and Fenny. We would welcome them here at any time and cannot recommend them highly enough.

I would highly recommend Gwen! We were able to meet prior to my vacation and she wanted to be sure she understood everything in order to take care of Frankie and my home. She communicated daily with brief notes and pictures, watered plants and fed birds on my balcony. House was neat and tidy when I got home.

I was delighted to have Betsy and Pat take care of the animals to enable me to undertake a recent trip. Their enthusiasm and affection for all of our little brood was evident from the start. They asked great questions to deepen their understanding, especially relating to the alpacas. I knew immediately that they were in the very best hands. Our old kitty, Diesel swiftly made himself two new best friends and our dog Luna I think was especially fond of Pat. They took Luna on some lovely adventures and ensured that she was cared for like a superstar. They also took care of our chickens and ensured that their bedding was fresh and that they were treated to a daily feast. I’d be very happy to recommend Betsy and Pat for your house and pet sit. In addition to providing excellent care for the animals they also took excellent care of the cottage during their stay. I would welcome them back in a heartbeat.

Sarah was highly conscientious and looked after our cat excellently over the whole three month period. On our return the house was immaculate, far better than if left to our tender mercies. I recommend her unreservedly. Bob Newbury

Michael and Chantelle are a delightful young couple and settled in well to a 6 week sit for us. We had more contact with Michael who sent us regular updates and photos. They seemed to love being in the country and to have a big garden at their disposal. I should have perhaps given more direction about watering plants in pots but otherwise everything was in good order for our return. I would recommend them as sitters.

It was such a pleasure to have Ophilia staying at our home and taking care of our cats. She’s super friendly, easy going and loving. I really enjoyed spending my little bit of time with her before I left. During her stay she also sent lots of photos of our cats everyday, and I could tell how much love she was giving to our cats. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Pamela and Derek were really excellent housesitters who clearly took to our dogs straight away. And our dogs clearly took to them as they were full of beans when we returned from our trip, looking happy and healthy. Pamela and Derek kept the house beautifully clean, were good communicators, sending us pictures to keep us in contact with our precious pooches and were reliable and helpful when we thought of the odd thing that needed doing. We would happily have them to sit again. Thanks Pamela and Derek 😃

Sarah is an excellent sitter and I will have no reservation about inviting her again. We had a hiccup in that the airline cancelled her flight and she wasn’t able to arrive until the following day, but she kept us updated the whole time so we knew what was happening. Fortunately we have a lovely neighbour who was able to step in for one night, so every thing was fine in the end. Sarah sent us lots of lovely pictures and Nina was completely content, only ignoring us for a short time on our return! The house was clean and tidy and the bed was stripped. Thank you Sarah, until next time ….

Todd and Dianne did a good job with our pets. We came home to happy, healthy dogs :)

Tainá and Simon kept our Fredl company over Christmas holidays. When Simon came to us the day before we left, I immediately noticed that our cat felt more comfortable with him than with most other new people. That gave us a good feeling from the beginning and it was also super great overall. Both of them were very reliable, got in touch regularly and showed us with little videos or photos that our cat was doing very well. When we returned, both he and the whole apartment were as if we had never been away. Thank you, dear Tainá and Simon, for being there for our cat and making everything so uncomplicated! We would recommend you at any time & wish you all the best.

The pets seemed very happy with Vanessa and it was clear that she took great care for them all. Vanessa was very pleasant throughout the entire process which made it easy and reassuring. Vanessa left the flat in a great shape too. Would definitely recommend Vanessa :)

I cannot recommend Nadia and Luis enough. They were perfect pet parents to all 3 of my fur babies and treated them with such love and kindness that they didn't care much about me when I came home. The house was in impeccable order when I returned. Everything was beautifully clean and tidy and the yard and gardens were perfect! They took just as much care of my place as if it was their own. Their communication was quick while I was away and they even found a document I desperately needed scanned while I was overseas. They were always happy to do anything I needed and gave me pics and videos of my dogs and cat while away. Anyone would be priviledged to have them sit for them. I cannot say enough good things!
