Sherry is a ray of sunshine in our home while we we are away. I appreciate her daily updates to let me know how things were going and love that she keeps in close communication with any questions about the pets or the house. The dogs really have grown quite attached to Sherry and received great care, exercise, and lots of love and attention. We will always welcome Sherry back for future sits!
We really recommend this sit. Nancy and Paddy are a very friendly and welcoming couple who made sure we had everything we needed to have a fabulous sit. Their five dogs are smart, adorable, very well behaved and affectionate- and all very different. It was so much fun looking after them and though we’ve had lots of experience with dogs, we learned a lot! The annex at Bridge Ball is comfortable and very well equipped. The village is beautiful with friendly neighbours and wonderful walks nearby.
The warmest welcome by Izzy and Zat in their gorgeous cottage - delicious meal and an amazing chat - the beginning of a perfect sit! For starters, they'd provided the most comprehensive sitters' manual as well as tons of ideas for things to see and do in Sunderland and the surrounding area. The house was immaculately clean and organised, and we so appreciated the fact that they'd cleared space for us in their wardrobes and cupboards. Izzy and Zat are really thoughtful hosts, and it was more like staying in an Airbnb than doing a housesit. The garden space is idyllic, and need I add that the inhabitants were really well-behaved! It was very special being able to nurture the plants that provided us with so much food for our souls. A totally meditative space where we spent many hours in peace and warmth. Sunderland and the surrounding areas have so many interesting spots to explore and experience. We were never bored. Public transport is really close, and if you have a car (like we did) there was always parking in the street right outside the front door. This housesit is a must, and remember that the effort you put in to looking after the plants is returned a hundredfold by the green tranquility they provide both outside and inside. We loved every minute of the 5+ weeks that we spent in Sunderland. Thank you, Izzy & Zat... hope to see you again soon.
Nick could not have been any nicer. Very easy to communicate with. Home as advertised, in a great location, and Baxter a very good and loving boy.
Housesitting at Anton's place was awesome! Beautiful house and garden and every of their 7 rescued animals is a treat to take care of! Watching all these different characters interact with each other was just so interesting and entertaining. Plus 24/7 cuddling guaranteed! :) Walking the dogs by yourself can be a bit challenging, but since they live right next to a big forest, there are plenty of possibilities to avoid other dogs. Can't wait to housesit here again one day!
Kathryn and Zane are good communicators with their full and clear instructions for the sit and they respond quickly to any communication during the sit. They even added some tips about where to go in Girona when we asked and they were willing to give more suggestions throughout the visit. Their bright, relaxing apartment reflected their easy-going personalities. It was quiet spot and the neighborhood and Girona felt very safe. The location of the apartment was very walkable to old Girona, parks & canal walks, and to downtown Girona. I loved the morning view out their kitchen window with their neighborhood’s colourful homes stretching up into the generous treed hill and greeting the morning warmth on the back balcony with Mimosa. And the very best - Mimosa is a sweet, fun cat with enough of a feisty and playful nature that time passes very quickly for this Girona sit. Though she does not like to be picked up, she loves to be stroked and scratched – and if you are lucky, after a few nights she might cuddle in bend of legs in bed for the night. This is an easy and enjoyable cat-sit in Girona.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Weymouth. Sally was very friendly and welcoming, She picked me up from the station and made me a lovely meal on the evening I arrived. Her home is beautiful and spacious, it is within walking distance of the beach, harbour and the town, where there are lots of shops and places to eat. The best part is looking after Ruby and Bear, they really are the most loving, adorable dogs. They have different personalities, Ruby being very zen and Bear being younger,is more excitable, until you take them to beach, then Ruby really springs into action! It is great to see. However, they both like a cuddle of an evening and given their size, they are really good to walk on the lead. I would wholeheartedly recommend this sit, Weymouth is a great place to visit, Sally's home is a perfect place to stay and Sally makes you feel most welcome. However, it is Ruby and Bear that really makes this sit great as they were just a complete joy to look after.
