Jacob was a wonderful companion to our dog Radar and cat Chess. He took the dog on long bike rides, and from our dog's reaction, when we returned home, he was "sad" to see Jacob leave. We were happy that Jacob enjoyed skiing at Wolf Creek and made connections with his step brother also. Thank you Jacob for being such a sincere and kind sitter. We would love to have you come back to Pagosa again.
Dan is amazing. He did a housesit for us for three weeks. We asked that our plants, trees and shrubs be watered regularly as some of them weren't yet established. We also asked that our property be mowed. He did all of the above and left daily notes! We didn't ask for notes but they were great to read once we got back. He was communicative, honest, diligent and very clean. Everything you hope for in a sitter. We love Dan!!!
Mariana is an excellent host, we communicated well right from the start, and it was a pleasure to share these days with Amélie, Julia and Chico - each with a different personality! Julia gets immediately affectionate and is 'talkative', yes. Amélie is more shy at first, but with a little time she clearly shows her affection. Chico shows his joy by singing in the morning, while he is quiet during the day. Overall, they are extremely easy to maintain, and I had a lot of free time to discover the historical and natural beauty of Setubal and Praia de Troia - a gorgeous coastal gem with white sands! An extra point worth mentioning is the fish trattoria opposite the house, very good and cheap. Thank you, Mariana, for your kindness and for going above and beyond so that I could feel comfortable at home - successfully! I absolutely recommend this pet-sitting, and hope to come back in the future! :-)
Dogs were a little anxious at first. But after a day or two, they become your best friends. Safe neighborhood, and the dogs let you know when anyone, or anything make noise. Even on TV, they're not lying down when other animals appear, haha. Some bumps along the road, but with good communication, everything worked out very smoothly. The house is beautiful and the surrounding area is great. Would love to sit again. Thanks for having me.
Jane, Martin and George immediately made us welcome in their lovely home. They are a friendly family who we enjoyed an evening with before they left A helpful tour and visitors guide certainly made us feel confident and at ease. The house is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Eric and Ernie were a delight and easy to care for. Eric liked a bit of space, watching from his viewpoint in the kitchen, but as soon as we sat in the lounge Ernie would turn up for fuss (and sneaky peak under the Christmas tree) The house is in the delightful village of Sway, just a short drive to the coast at Lymington. There is a Budgens and small post office in the village which are handy
John and Mary-Catherine's home is a beautiful oasis in central Washington! Their cats and dog are cuddly sweethearts and know their routines well, which makes caring for them straightforward and a delight. John and Mary-Catherine made dinner for us on our arrival day and they had a very thorough and helpful guide for everything you'd need to know. The garden was a huge perk and we enjoyed delicious fresh eggs and veggies every day. We so appreciated that they let us park our RV (our full time home) on their property and even welcomed our small dog to join their pets during our stay. A relaxing and peaceful sit- we would definitely recommend.
Our sit with Nessa and Lucas was a bit different. Nessa was incredible with all communication and exceptions. There were a lot of last minute changes and ultimately the end date was shorted by a few weeks because of last minute changes on their end. Nessa was extremely generous in allowing us to utilize another space on their property; however, Lucas had returned during this time and we did not hit it off as well with him. Boogie, the Chickens and the home were all great but due to the very drastic last minute changes and some hostile communication at the end of the sit we did rate it 4 stars.
Delightful house/petsit with Gerry, Cassie and chickens. Christine was very welcoming with a beautiful evening meal and info on everything we needed. Lovely home and the kitties were real characters. Thankyou Christine for choosing us 😊
