Jennifer’s home was clean, very comfortable, and gorgeous. She was kind, professional and provided everything we needed. Her place is near some excellent restaurants, beautiful parks, affordable groceries, and I’d gladly stay again. Mac and Gus grew on us immediately! Extremely well behaved sweethearts who are the perfect balance of affectionate and independent. Very easy to care for and a pleasure to stay with. They pull a bit on walks, but that’s not much of a complaint. I hope to revisit again someday :)
Jim and Martha are wonderful hosts with two terrific dogs, Millie and Mak. Communication was excellent and instructions thorough. Their home is beautiful - and in a great neighborhood. We’re still talking about the dogs and wishing our stay could have been longer. . . or better yet, taken them home! A special thanks to Jim & Martha - we’d love to do it again!
Jessae and her 3 sweet dogs were great to house sit for! Jessae prepped her house nicely for us, and even went out of her way to set up a television with Netflix at our request, which was very much appreciated. To Jessae’s credit, and in full honesty, we (the sitters) made the mistake of failing to let her know that we had an issue with the bed, and while we committed to fulfilling all our sitter responsibilities, we could not sleep at the house on one of the 2 nights of the sit.. Unfortunately this resulted in one dog having a little accident, which we of course promptly cleaned up as thoroughly as possible. Jessae was understandably disappointed but she listened to us and acknowledged our mistake. All in all this was a pleasant house to sit for, and any future house sitters will not be disappointed. The neighborhood is nice and peaceful. Viv and Apple are easy and sweet as pie, while Bertha is a ball of energy, but just as sweet!
Shmoopy is the sweetest, I did have one medical emergency while watching her and she was really easy to transport into the vet. Her parents came back from their trip to meet me at the vet and made it seamless for me to activate her care. Thousand Oaks is also very beautiful.
I had such a nice weekend stay in Jean's cozy, clean, attractive cottage. Jean is a lovely person, and her kitty Giacomo is a total loverboy! When I hung out in the living room, he crawled into my lap for snuggles or snoozed nearby. Portland is such a compact city, I arrived by car and no problems getting anywhere I needed to go during my stay. I highly recommend this sit!
I should really give this 4 1/2 stars ONLY because if Gracie’s toileting habits. Read on for more details. Otherwise, this IS a 5 star sit! Naomi showed us around and then sat down with us and chatted awhile when we arrived. She is gracious and friendly. We met Miss Grace Kelly, the queen of the house, soon thereafter. She is a sweet Ragdoll beauty and easy to care for. Her only fault is that she only poops in the litter box about 1/2 to 2/3 of the time. Otherwise, she poops on the floor or pad near, but outside the box. Naomi is working on this problem with 3 litter boxes! Since Gracie can’t tell us, humans have yet to figure it out. Her poos are easy to clean up, however, because they are solid, so a paper towel and a spray if disinfectant on the floor or pad does the trick. The house is comfy and Fort William is in a beautiful area of the Scottish Highlands. The scenery is amazing!!
